Hi Phill

I had my car done at KDS and very happy, but note they only do detailing and not resprays.

Just google or yell KDS Gillingham for the address or look up Lepson's Gillingham as they are next door. Both are a miute drive from Gillingham Station, or 5 minutes from the Medway Tunnel.

Paul

Thanks Paul

will give them a call.

Here you go Phil. It would be worth taking the car to Kelly and talking to him about full paint correction. From work that I've seen it may well save you the full respray whilst returning the results you seek. Be sure to call before 2pm if phoning as he rarely answers the phone after this time due to amount of work he and the team have in the workshop.

regards, Paul

Thanks for that Paul.

Hi Guys,

I think you guys are correct......I remember the year before last it was at Gaydon...because it was the first time I had seen kaiser silver. It looked good for the brief moment i saw it!! :)

I am gonna dig out my old photos now and see if i can find the car at the show.....

Thought it was a 993 as it approached (bizarrely ... must be my failing eyesight) so I only had time to stick my thumb out the window ... so if you wondered why some twerp in a white Evo was giving you a thumbs-up, it was me :)

Since I bought mine last September I haven't seen a single other NSX on the road with the exception of when I joined a few fellow Berkshire / Oxfordshire members for a pub catch up late last year. That was the case anyway until...

Last week when I happened to vacate my fairly populated area of residence and head to the Brecon Beacons for a week of piece, quiet and limited interaction with the outside world. Whilst traveling between Pencelli and Crickhowell on a single track road, low and behold we came across a beautiful Midnight Purple pop up parked up in a lay-by next to a babbling brook, R3 NSX. Stopped to take a quick snap but no sign of the owner. A shame but probably for the best as I suspect that had they have actually been around they would not have believed it when a 25 year old (i.e. me) leant out of the window of the 1976 baby blue VW camper that we were in and said "hey mate, I've got one of those too!".

First time my girlfriend has seen midnight purple and she commented on its beauty, although did follow this up nicely (perhaps just to protect my ego) by saying that whilst it was lovely it wasn't quite as beautiful as red. On reflection she also said the purple gave the car more of a 'ganagster' feel. On that contraversial note I shall stop. :)

Cheers,
James

Nah, in the wife's red GTi (and partly hidden by an arctic in the o/s lane) - on the way to Cinema and B&Q, which the NSX is rather unsuitable for. Saw you re-joining the A46, hit the horn a few times but at a closing speed of 100-ish it was a little optimistic. LBB is still the best colour for an NSX!

Atom was near Cov and heading further north, an AM V8 was only about 5 miles behind you heading south though. Saw yet more kit cars (plus an old 911 and what was probably a Chesil not a real Speedster) on the way back.

Just got back from California, on the first day in San Francisco I was saying to my wife 'there is no way you could drive the NSX on these roads without grounding it'. The next day,25th May in Pacific Heights, SF spotted this NA1 (the way its parked looks like someone was in a rush)

Cool!

Spotted this on Friday i think it was, at a services near Reading on the way to Castle Combe :) Can't believe they parked it so close to others when there were spaces everywhere! Maybe it was to attract the attention it received ;c)

Sebring Silver pop up NSX spotted in South of France ...Cannes sea front last week . So suprised to see it did not catch the registration number ...it looked as if it was an english plate. So different to see from the numerous Ferrari's. Bentley's, Lamborghini's, Porsche's, Masserati's which seem to be drive past constantly. Other exotic cars on the roads were a couple of Fiskers, Pagani Zonda, Bugatti Veyron. Oh almost forgot....no sure if this counts...John Cleese on holiday with his new wife.....and black Bentley with reg.......BAS1L

Chasing Classic Cars Tuesday evening on Sky TV. Wayne Corini was offered the chance to buy an old racing Lotus elite that an old lady had tucked away in a garage. When he was finally allowed to see the car he was told she had just agreed to sell it to somone else so he lost out however just behind him in the garage was a black Acura NSX which looked like it was in regular use, clearly a family with taste and a view to a cars future value.
Wayne then went on to buy a 250 Lusso Ferrari that had been in the same ownership for almost 50 years so it wasn't too bad a days work. More barn finds in the US lucky b***ers.

Yes 50,000 dollars daylight robbery. I recall seeing him using aerosol cans to tart up brake drums on a car going to auction, not a good example of their standards.
I have seen a Daytona he restored and that was superb so I suppose it's a commercial decision.

Curious. I have no idea where that is but it appears to be Brighton area. Except I was nowhere near there on Saturday. I was on the road on Saturday morning en route from London to the car's winter garage near Aberdeen. I started before dawn from Wimbledon and headed out the M4 to the M40 and on northward. I drove over from the car's summer garage in Paris on Friday. Despite being motorway almost all the way it was a great drive and with 1 stop I did the 540 miles in 8 hours. There was the occasional maniac who wants to race and annoyingly either will not let you overtake or if you do, insist on blasting past you and slowing down again. But when you drive an NSX you have nothing to prove to these boy racers in their salesmen cars. Ignore them and they quickly revert to being bored in their boring cars.

You wouldn't be alone - there's already at least one forumite with three NSXs.

As I was driving down the M25 anticlockwise I saw a white pearlescent NSX with a big fat spoiler driving clockwise on the M25 around 11.30am this morning!

I am pretty sure it must be SS? :)

Post says car was seen being towed by the RAC van....I thought that was a big no-no with the NSX?

(The observation that the picture showed not only a broken down Honda but also a TVR running fine made me smile!)

I'm not sure its being towed. The N's brake lights are on as if its braking, which he wouldn't be doing if he was being towed?

If you are on a rope, slowing down prevents a collision with the RAC van.

Didn't think they used old fashioned ropes these days?

Was in the Seevic College area and heading westbound; she commented on how well it had been kept, very clean indeed.

Anyone local to me?

Yes Paul, this was one of the "last 12" . Exterior and interior in "S2000" spec, slightly darker than my standard silver (in the front of shot). And yes it did look very smart.

As far as I recall the owner of the other NSX was from Warwick, where this shot was taken. Didn't sound like he had heard of this forum though, for potential bidders :)

Thanks.

My son's not feeling too well and missed nursery today, so I thought I'd take him into town to cheer him up. Yeah I know, I shouldn't really be driving a 3-and-a-1/2 year old in the front seat ;-). Dunno what I'm gonna do when my 18-month old wants to tag along. Guess I need to start saving the pennies for an F1. What do they go for nowadays? £3million odd? Haha...

As its unlikely to be the Silverstone auction car, it's either the recently spotted one with Red trim, or Nicks missing one with back trim?

My parts man at the local Honda dealer told me he looked it up out of interest and a short engine was 25k! Can that be correct?
