I was out today and came across this little thorobred ....... and as luck would have it, I had the camera in the car http://www.nsxprime.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif
I had long thought the Gallardo the successor to the NSX, yet seeing them together today I'm not so sure, well not in the looks department. You cant deny the technology within the Gallardo, and the interior of the new Superlegga version is to die for!
Enjoy and regards, Paul

Always prefered Lambos over the prancing horse, but I have to say Paul, your S2 looks more tasty of the two. I know someone at work whose friend has one, not the new light weight one and he states alot of the parts still had Audi stickers on them apparently!! It seems to me with Audis influence, Lambos have become more German like with the reliability, similar Quattro 4WD. When you turn the engine off, it still crackles a little, bit like the X exhausts (at least thats what I think it is?) I would have to say the wheels on the Gay ardo are amazing close up and now Jezza owns a Spider one, how on earth does he fit in it at 6.5 ish? Mind you he did have the Ford GT & the small SLK 55AMG, jammy get!, pardon the expression! (Northern term) :D

Gallardos arn't that reliable, and they go through clutches like the proverbial wosname. But I do like them more than I used to, a bit of a grower

I went out in a brand new Gallardo Spyder a few weeks ago. Proper rude car. Awesome....if only I had the cash for a second car.....

Gumball, agree it does grows on you & certain colours are better than others, must stop putting Micro Grow on the Lambo then ! ;) Still prefer the real Lambo, the Murchielago or now LP640 in a idea world!
NSXGB, Is it difficult to get a test drive or are you in the know or have special friends or network?

Sorry, I did not drive it....not yet anyway! I was taken for a spin in a friends one. I'm sure he'll let me have a go if I ask nicely....
I'm not a fan of the Murciélago looks wise, all out of proportion. The Gallardo is spot on IMHO.

Your'e lucky you have such a friend, might have to prime him up for a drive! The baby Lambo is a great idea & its size mean its more practical on the road. Its just that I have grown up with big bad Lambo image that made them different from the Prancing Horse, great to look at, wide road presence, but not as good as a Ferrari to drive. A a real proper supercar & not quite a hyper car. We all have individual taste, it be boring if we all liked the same! :D

When redletterdays went bust my wife and I both got an experience in a gallardo. It was fantastic! the noise is to die for and it just inspire confidence as it is sooooo easy to drive and sooo solid on the road. My wife caught up this guy in a 360 spyder by almost half a lap! Drove a paddle shift one and it converted me to paddles instantly!

Luke, does the 4WD not rob you of some of the sheer driving experience as Audis tend to make their Quattro system on the safer side? Then I suppose it makes for safer & slightly more predictable drive. I would love to have a go in a Lambo. My old neighbour had a 360 Spyder, he promised that he let me have a spin, except due to a relationship problems, I no longer living next door to him! Bugger! The sound of the metallic shreak is awesome.
Jim, your not turning into CF man are you, Paul that is !?! ;)

Ask Wayne Rooney that one....

Ask Wayne Rooney that one....According to the Sun (so it must be true), he was testing the handling when it spun. Acting the t**t on the public highway more like! Bl**dy footballers, only interested in their paycheque and image rather than a passion for the game. Take a couple of noughts of their paycheck and see how much shopping they do then!!
Rant over.

Sorry Paul, I guest you obviously don't like these obscenely overpaid football players then !? ;) Ca'nt believe he spun it since it has 4WD & may even have the optional CF brakes! Ready Paul just mention CF! Whoops its just C as brakes!

There were a few showcars in the States earlier this year with this chrome paint. Not sure how well it will stand up to regular use. I'm surprised that with the cost of the respray the owner didn't do something with the rims, ie black chrome? Also, from this angle, the number plate doesn't look to be particularly legal....
How was the rest of the turnout? Anything else worth a photo?
regards, Paul

WOW now that is impressive A Chromed Lambo ( or was it made of silver??)
Did some unfeasibly rich bloke from Dubai or that region not get one made of or plated with silver?

It's probably only a vinyl wrap, a few £k.
As far as the number plate goes, it doesn't look like a UK one.
Will have a look over a few other forums to see if I can find anything else out.

Simon how do you know? That number plate on the X looks rather strange! I would'nt put any stickers on my beloved X ever! Maybe Gary & Sharon on top of the inside front windscreen! ;)
NB. sorry to any person with those names here?

I know its safe for your paintwork, but I have to ask myself, would I go on Gumball? NO, Would I spend 10s of thousands entering the event, even though its fun staying at the best hotels/eating great food & mixing with famous? NO, Drive against amateur prima donas drivers who are in OK or Hello? NO, Draw even more attention to your exotica with loads of daft stickers? NO and Like to get maximum attention? NO. I would be happy with a few people looking at my X & saying nice motor, what is it! ;) Then again I'm not loaded! :( A modest member! :D

I have considered giving OLU a vinyl wrap but am still not sure on what to base it on.

You would be surprised at some of the entries into the Gumball. Not all are rich poncified 'artists' of one kind or another:D. However if you have very large sums of disposal income and are bored buying Islands the Gumball would seem pretty attractive? I am betting an Atom would draw more attention (and medical bills) than an Enzo!

no more than anybody elses who's not, nsl is for oap's.
by the way this years gumball is turning into an efing disaster, the german police got in a strop before the rally even started, setting traps and temporary police stations, some gumballers gave up, the rest had a police escort to the airport and got on the plane to turkey only to find the police wouldn't let the plane carrying the cars go to turkey, so then that plane carrying the cars had to head to grease. so now the gumballers are traveling by car/plane from turkey to grease to get to there cars. :( for those that like the gumball and a :) for those that don't

I can safely say that there is very little in the automotive world that gets more attention than an Atom. :)

Saw one last night on the M40, very cool indeed. It is one 'thing' I want to own someday.

Just looked at the car again.
It's only done 5800 miles, of which 3000 of those would have been on the gumball. Poor car, someone needs to buy it and look after it.
I'd hate to buy that not knowing it had been caned on the Gumball rally!
