OK so this was on my to-do list
I have always disliked the 90's boudoir ruffles and wanted a change. I had to remove the door cards as I wanted to adjust the windows anyway so figured to hell with it, let’s sort the trim out.
After removing the 7 screws on the door card you have to gently pry the clips out of the seal. Then working from the rear top edge pull it up and off the rim. Don’t be concerned if it is stiff it is meant to be.
Rest the card on your knee and remove all the electrical connectors. Then working on the rear of the door card push the tangs out and remove the sections. I have skipped a bit about removing the door handle but it is in the manual and on prime so......
Peel back the edges on the panel.
Next use your finger and work from the inner panel to the outer edge to separate the leather from the foam. Try and keep the edges complete if you can it will improve the end product and not disturb the foam overall.

I used UHU to bond the material. I recommend you use a non aerosol product as it will be more resilient.
Cut the material of choice I used PVC as it had a better backing than hide and there is little wear in this area. I might go for alacantra sometime but would be careful of the adhesive matting the fabric.

Apply the adhesive onto the material. Then spread flat with something plastic. Credit cards are pretty good
Leave the adhesive to set for 30secs or so, it will work way better that way. Now lay the material on the door card and smooth it down. Work it a little to get the adhesive into the foam.
Now cut the corners to reduce the overlay. and put some more adhesive on the fabric edge and metal. Smooth it flat and leave it again for 30secs then working from the top roll it onto the backing. I found going for the top and then bottom first was best. Next fold the sides and trim the corner cuts if you need too.

Keep working the material into place whilst it dries. It is easier to use less then spread a small amount afterwards than to use a heavy bead.
Re-install all the parts in the door and you are done.

Material 0.6M PVC £8.00
Adhesive UHU large tube £4.00
1/2hr to remove the door card and 1/2hr to retrim the cards. It gets faster on the other side
Overall exactly what I wanted for not allot of money.
