Anyone seen this? Or better still tried it? What do you think?

If I start doing the odd track day in the NSX I'd be pretty tempted.

I don't know how they make the claim of 80% of the benefits of a racing harness..........
To me, one of the big reasons I use a 5 point harness, is that the load is spread across two shoulders, and each shoulder has a 3" strap. The benefit, is that knowing if I hit something hard, one of my arms isn't going to be removed by one thin belt on one shoulder. Harness straps are also designed to be in a fixed position, the way they are stitched means that some of the stiching breaks in a crash to decelerate the body. Fixing the standard belt this way may not allow that sort of thing to happen.
Having the harness does make it a bit easier to drive the car. I don't have to brace myself, but then I also have racing seats. I wouldn't of thought that locking the standard belt would make that much difference on standard seats.
It is possible to achieve what this device does for nothing. Put the seat back. Put on the belt, pull it so it locks, then move the seat forward again to make it tight.
