Was looking a yellow 97 NSX and seen it was slightly modded. I noticed the seats were different but with the HONDA logo! Quite nice. I like the titanium centre trim, where can this be purchased? and is the trim around in instrument cluster different also?

You are looking at a Type S, it's not modded, that's the way they are.

The seats are recaro's and have the recaro logos.

A painted centre console is also available in other countries. The US cars also have a painted console, and door trims. The UK cars make do with black (unless the very newest ones have painted consoles).

The dial surround is brushed finish, which all cars have.

I believe its really hard to get post 1996 cars into the UK now. Do you know otherwise?

Thanks for the info! Quite like the centre console, like the seats but not for me. Its no problem getting cars in, I have imported quite alot of cars over the years and have some very good contacts in Japan. Infact most of the pics I posted were sent to me by my friend in Japan as I was telling him I was in the market for an NSX again. I also have a good contacts in the UK for doing the SVA and model reports to make them UK road legal, they are trade guys so have the complete setup and all the up to date equipment and test centres.

Can you ask about getting a 2003 Type R then please? This needs a ESVA.

Yeah will do! But you will find that it may be allot more expensive as pretty late model NSX's hold good value in Japan due to their MOT system. For example;
The white NSX-R, I posted about below, is a 2002 car, with 28k thats about 17,000miles give or take. That car is £65,000stg!! Then you have to add VAT AT 17.5% which is £76,375, then 10% Import Duty equals: £84,125, then you have to buy a model report, if one is already done, you will pay around £100, if not, then it will be £300 to £400, SVA also on top of that, then your UK registration. All in all it would cost in the region of £85,500 give or take a few pounds, and thats for the white 2002 NSX-R!

And for the Yellow Type-S in the pics above?

Hi! The yellow type S is a 1997 car, 23k around 14,000 miles, again price is Japan is £34,000stg, then like the rest with shipping, vat, import duty, sva, mot, etc would stand you around £45,000/£46,000 give or take. Here are the more pics of the car

£85,500 isn't bad if it is in mint condition due to the rarity of it in the UK. I am sure if you later want to sell it on....people like 'Flemke' (money no problem) or other 'well off' enthusiast will take it off you for the same price you paid for.

It looks to be in almost new condition and I can have my contact view the car in detail. It has only 17,000miles so it will be mint. But I'm not looking to purchase it. I'm trying to stick to a smaller budget

How much for a late JDM Type R !!:shocked::cantlook: Whens the next Euro rollover lotto draw! Shame Honda were toying with the idea of selling 5 or so cars in the UK for around £75K, but changed their minds as lack of demand or red tape!

Kevin, does the big tree in your garden grow money!? ;)

Hey Dan, with the hours you're racking up in the business, that Type R or S could be reality!

One of the problems with importing an NSX from Japan is due to the fact they are held so highly, and rightly so too!!. With a bit of time spent sourcing you can pick up 1990 to 1997 NSX's for ok money, not massive savings but they are pretty low miles and in very good condition.

I know you have good contacts, but how can you verify its history, mileage & service history when its been in Japan & documents are in Japanese? Could'nt you get one of your contacts to source you one? Or would you prefer a UK supplied X?

The service history will come with most NSX's in Japan, because they are just that type of car. Service history can be translated to English too no problem!! I'm looking into some at the moment in Japan. It doesnt really bother me if its UK or JDM. If I can get one here then YES by all means I'll buy it, but at the moment I'm just keeping the options open and looking almost everyday for something.
