I have a 1991 NSX auto but I dont have an owners manual.
Can anyone tell me what it means when the battery / charge warning light and a red light which looks like an exhaust silencer with heat rising off it illuminates at 1000 revs or less.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks

ill take a look for you. But if its only doing it at low revs then could be an electrical fault? eart problem or alternator related?

anything overheating is surely worse at higher revs ?

It does sound like the alternator not charging (brushes?), what is your voltmeter showing?

Hey 453,

you can download the manual here:

Not sure if the manual manual is the same as the auto manual.

Manuel

Thank-you for all replies.
I think the voltmeter was showing a nornal reading but I will check tomorrow.
I'm going to download the manual and hopefully it will tell me what the other light means.
Anyone got another suggestion??

Hello honda fans.
Just a quick update.
A second hand alternator did the trick.
Many thanks.
