SOS does offer some nice packages and numbers. Can you get the parts from GT-ROM and have your sponsors do it up?

PS TODA Racing has some nice parts.

I'm the solidatory one who went for 3600, just to be different! :D Amo, how many BHP you getting from your beast & would 400 be enuth? I'm no engine mods tech, but if you're going BIG & theres not much difference in an extra 200cc, then 3800 it should be! How do I re tract my vote & re vote 3800? :dunno:

What brake setup have you got at the moment Amo?

amo

stretching out the block that far( 3.8l) will reduce reliablity from in increased cylinder pressures associated with Forced induction as well as thinner cylinder walls . With a 3.5L you'll still have some "meat" left between the cylinders which is always a good think when you boost. that's the simple version of the explanation.

this is wot iv been told from the prime site

Hi Amo,

Can I ask why you want/need 600bhp? Are you chasing more publicity.

With respect it cant be for the sheer performance unless you are going to invest in big brakes and traction control systems. IMO, with all the extra weight you have and may be adding to your NSX, I would think a near std 3.0 or 3.2 would have you in its mirrors on any track without a very long straight.

Good luck in your quest for those ponies, just try and build in some reliability, probably based on smaller 3.3 or 3.4 displacement. Have you spoken with Mark at Dali yet? I believe he has built some big bhp NSX's so could offer valuable experience/advise that may save you time / money / pain in the long run.

regards, Paul

ps, thanx for the parts.

400 - 700rwhp

hi guys
ok well 600 or 500 at the wheels cos it has to be a daily drive as well
400 at the moment is just not quick enough
as i have an engine then i might as well no?

and ya you could be right about a standard keepin up with me due to more weight

well with me drivin they prob whip past me lol

spoken to mark and he says 3.3 would be enough

no worries for the parts mate

Id go with whatever is most reliable . but still gives some gains for the money

600 BHP!! Thats a hell of alot when the NSXs racing in the JTG Japan, has only 500BHP with a 3.5 Litre V6! I've read in this month's Banzai mag about a ex HKS project JDM car (black & gold wheels) that is now under the ownership of Funkypower, think the car is rated above 500BHP! Their website is www.funkypower.co.uk (http://www.funkypower.co.uk) & tel no is 0845 257 1981. HTH ;) Bear in mind " Power is nothing without control " :quote:

Hi Amo,

Before seeing your last post I voted for 3.5 litre. With the about of strain the supercharger will be putting on the block I think if you go any bigger than 3.5 it will be overheating like a bitch!

I wish I understood what this is all about!

Can't we just enjoy these fabulous cars as they are?

OK, call me old-fashioned.

It was me ... I'm sure I'd read somewhere on prime that big BHP and FI is more reliable of the smaller bore upgrade.

I don't think you can really make that comparison.A WRC rally spec Subaru is putting out 300 BHP but a 300 BHP road going Subaru isn't going to live with it.It's the same as the racing NSX's,there is sooo much money spent on those engines they are in a different ball park.

It's called rules and restrictions. GT500 cars have 500 bhp because the rules say cars are up to 500bhp. There's also a GT300 class.

Also if the power is unlimited, the rules in most racing classes have a restriction on the size of the air intake. Teams have to use a regulation intake orifice.

If it's raining and you're at Silverstone 100bhp is enough.

on WRC cars the torque is imense over a road car which of course also helps.

But lets face it different kettle of fish, the gearboxs cost more than a fully tuned STI anyway on the road.

Totaly agree.Thats why i made the post earlier that the two cars cannot be compered (the JGTC and Amo's car that is)
