Wheel nuts tightness

Having just seen LH accident at the European GP, when you tighten the wheel nuts, is it vital that its done to the recommended torque set by Honda or really tight or FT? I know road cars nothing like F1, but the same basic principle applies & I've heard if you overtighten, it can affect the wheel bearings. :unsure:

80 ft/lbs no more, no less.

Loose and the wheels fall off
Tighter and the studs can snap.
