How do you know the number? is that the last part of the chasis number? If not, where will I find it?

Its the last 3 numbers on the door sill or the last 3 number on the chassis number I think.

Don't forget the numbers start again each year :)

Mine is number 27 (of 1997 :) ) or maybe even NA2 number 27 ??

I'm sure we had a new owner post a thread recently saying he had a 1990 import!

I used to own 149 which was a 1991 import, owned by honda and kept at Suzuka for three years, pictured in my avatar.

Can anyone tell me what digit denotes the year of manufacture on the vin please?

I have read the FAQ on Prime but I think theirs are slightly different. My vin is JHMNA11500T100020, according to their FAQ, there should be a letter preceeding the 'T' which denotes the year. It would be correct if there was an 'O' in their key (as opposed to zero), but they don't it goes M,N,P - 1991,92,93. Mine is supposed to be a 1993.

I very nearly bought that car when I was first looking for an NSX. It was for sale in or around the Chester area if I remember correctly?

I was tempted to post this question myself.

All the ones I have looked at, are of the same form. ie A 0 as the 'year' digit.
The T is for Tochigi :)

Tochigi as opposed to being built at Suzuka....anyone got a Suzuka built car?

Think production moved in Summer 2004, so anyone who has a car built after that time.

Hi Simon

You're right, a friend of mine owns SuperCarClassics near Chester. After a couple of gay test pilots came to see my car in Cambridge I asked Colin to sell it from his garage.

I had a six year love affair with it and I miss it daily but needed to get rid so I could commute to a contract I had at the time. Commute is now over and I am looking for another black one.

I did have, briefly! ...NA21705S...etc

The year of manufacture re-sets itself every decade, I understand.
