Hi i'm Matt.
I normally frequent the s2ki forums but i'd thought i'd come over and show a pic of an NSX with a famous owner and also have a browse of your site. :)
This is Geoff Willis's car parked at my work in all its glory. I love these cars to bits and this was a good chance to get a pic.
As it turns out he's not the first owner (simonprelude informed me) so it can't be an ex company car when he was at BAR. Just shows you that people like him know a quality car when he sees it.

I know you have a register going of all NSX in the country so i thought i'd share the info so you can stick it in the database.
I do know a few NSX owners so i'd just like to say hi to Ian L, Nigel Rouse and Simon (prelude).
Bit of a strange first post but there you go.
See you around
Matt

I'd love to but i have a brand new S sitting in my garage, if i wanted to upgrade all that would get me is a 10 year old version. I like my new cars so the NSX is off the list as my wallet isn't that big.

Hi Matt, and welcome to our happy little community!
You 'forgot' to mention that you will soon be working somewhere much more interesting (and, sadly, based on current form, challenging) than RB!
Take good care and pop in now and then....you never know, you might be tempted from the S one day!

Surely not with JB & RB ?!?! If so, maybe give em a kick up the rear, to see if that would kick start em ! :D

Who's Geoff Willis?
You need to be shot not knowing who he is!!;)
He's the best technical bod that Honda ever had.:)

I'm not going there anymore. The guy that was going to take me on is rumoured to be coming to RB as well as half the composite dept. Honda have somehow upset the applecart there so there is a mass exodus happening. There is a really big job advertisement been put in the autosport this week for RB for Composite Managers, Charge Hands, Fitters and Laminators so i can only guess where they are coming from. :D
I'm going for a Charge Hand position now. :)
RB are really pushing for that podium for next year and they are certainly going the right way with all the new management that they have hired.

Ooops!
Sorry, missed that one Matt.
Much as I love Honda and their involvement in F1 - following their involvements with Williams and McLaren in the 1980's/90's is what got me into Honda road cars - given the state of Honda F1 at the moment, I can't say i blame you. And RB do seem to be a team trying very hard to do somewhere.
Good luck with the new job application.

I knew Ian would get excited though!! :D

Only playing......I bet he's a really nice guy! But as Matt said, F1 can leave you cold these days, although I am well aware that without the racing devlopement our cars probably would not exist.
Cheers,
James.

I beg to differ, those days are long gone.

You know me soooooo well Matt!
I have been following F1 closely since 1973 (when a mates Dad took me to Silverstone to see the british GP). There is no doubt the 'sport' is constantly changing, sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse. I do feel that some people (and I am certainly not picking on anyone here, just generalising) look back with rose tinted spec's - sure there where great races in the past....but there were a lot of dull ones as well!

Maybe with no traction control again next year & this evaluation group looking at aerodynamics to improve over taking opportunities, may lead to exciting racing again, rather than pinning everything on the qualifying!
