Just finished getting my Taitec Lightweight GT006 Exhaust fitted. Sounds great!
I've kept OEM headers and cats. Nice and loud and fairly deep note (but not Amo loud :)) when revving and accelerating but almost indecernible from the OEM noise when idling and cruising with the windows up. I can still hear the intake noise from inside the cabin with the windows up but I'd say it is about the same volume as the exhaust so very different characteristic.
I'm going to get some sound files uploaded if anyone else is thinking about making the swap.

Hi Rob. Are you changing headers and cats as well?
The other thing about this exhaust is its about 10kg lighter than OEM. Manhandling the old one into my passenger seat to get it home was 'king hard work!

I would have liked to changed the cats but because of the noise limits on trackdays i thought best not too! Am getting the manifolds though, yes. I'm not sure how much of a difference that will make to the sound...
Yeah i took a look at the OEM exhaust in the garage as i thought i might get it into the VX220 to show NSX2000. No chance!
Taitec make the inserts to lower the dbs, maybe you can run test pipes or race cats then? The headers will certainly add volume to it. Saying that you already have headers on a 3.2, but even 3.2s improve we a well designed system.

Taitec don't make inserts for the JGTC centre exit model.
They make them for the others though.
gt 006 = lightweight

Yes. That is not for the JGTC centre exit though.
I thought Rob was getting a centre exit exhaust as he said before he needs one for a rear diffuser.
Sorry mate it was very clear, I am typing in the middle of a workout, so that must account for the brain fart!
Surely it will not cost a fortune to make a couple of these???

Sorry, i am presuming the Taitecs all sound the same? Yes, going for the centre exit. Barry said there are bungs available though...

the bungs for the GT006 are very narrow - about 20mm. So as well as reducing the volume they are supposed to have a huge reduction on power! what's the point of using them on the track then? I think the GT006 on their own are around 94db, so might be ok for some tracks?

Noise limits aren't the same for test days and racing though, so not that much of a problem.

The GT - 001 is a paralell center exit one the gt-005 is the ligfhtweight center exit.
