Has anyone done this?
Is the thread the same and can the DC2 boot be fitted without too much hassle ?
done a search but not found much

I imagine you are asking as you have a spare ??
If not I have a spare DC2 shift boot, can have a quick look to see if it is the same size and shape ??
As for the thread etc, then it is different on the NA1 versus NA1R so you might be unlucky :(

no i dont have a shift boot..
but would like a metal knob in the R style. DC2 5 spd so thats why i asked..and plenty of them pop up for sale.
Ill borrow one of my friend and see if it fitsx, if it does simon ill be borrow your boot maybe to try that ok ?
or u could have a play with yours and your DC2 knob ?

Yes I have a DC2 :) and a nice Titanium DC2 knob.
I also have a spare S2000 metal knob, but that's marked as 6 speed.

thought u had a DC2,, u have that many i got mixed up.. ha ha.
Ok if u get time try it, if not no worries ill bob over to my friends and try his DC2 knob and gaiter.
DC2s knobs are sweet, the ali new ones mark so easily.
i could fit a Typr S knob in my luggage from the states..hmmm
