£2000 will not get you much 2nd hand for a late 02+ NSX ! Maybe at least double? Also the chances of getting all these requirements are rare!

Congratulations on the brave purchase.

As for parts, there are a few that have been broken recently.

If AR and amo can't help you then there is a breakers in St Austell that has broken one recently. For some of the parts that are shared between LHD and RHD cars then try dropping Dirk a message (he is in Germany) http://nsxcb.co.uk/testvb/member.php?u=209 he might be able to help.

Are you looking at putting this back to original condition to drive, or to sell on ??

You should get a hold of the guy who sold it to you. He sees full interiors on ebay for £500 all the time ;)

sorry to take the stab! I still look a the photo of yours on my ebay watching page wondering if I should have bought it for a mod car....

I'd think you will have a nightmare finding an interior... what like 22 sold in the UK? errr 20 besides yours and mine? keep your eyes peeled for one of the 20 to be written off. better off trying Japan?

may be far easier to keep it as a track car / modified project?

either way, Good luck with your search !

Hi Jazz,

I will be back in the UK in a couple of weeks. I do have a set of seats that I agreed to sell to the previous owner for 400 quid, and the price is still the same. They are in storage at the moment, if you are interested, PM me and we can discuss arrangements.

You can also have the door cards for free!

As I told him, the price is fair and firm.

Cheers,

I have some odd bits and pieces.....carpets etc. I'll have a look and see what I've got.

My gut feeling is that the carpet would be ok but some of the other trim may look a little odd in a later car. The biggest problem's going to be getting a dashboard etc...

If you buy Ary's seats and I strongly recommend you do, you can always get them covered in the later style trim.

Cheers and good luck,

James.

Man... a 360 for £62K... 60K Miles though... hate to see bills start coming in for something like this. sure they would be £6K a pop.

just to keep in line with the numbers above... maybe in 6 years for me.

don't think blackmarket was referring to a 360 and think the above qoute could be a stretch of the imagination...

360 = 400 bhp 0-60 in 4.2 seconds... not sure how how much weight you'd need to lose off the NSX to increase performance by 20%

just searched for 20 minutes... to find Flywheel BHP for the Standard NSX... can anyone help.
for you efforts here's a neat little performance calculator to find out how much weight you "may" have to take off to get down to 4.2 0-60 in an NSX

I agree too, 62k for a 60,000 miles 360 is too high, even though its 03 reg! Good luck with the sale.

I've been in my neighbour's silver 52 reg 360 Spider and as much as the metallic sound it emits is as addictive as the NSX, I would not swap one for my NSX!

The NSX is no match for 360 in 0 to 60 especially with 400 bhp and official 4.5 seconds it takes.

R&T got the NSX press car ( 3.2 T ) to do 4.6 seconds.

I would guess that that car, Kevin, Darren's due to their weight loss can give it a good run! Let's not get into NSX-R or S/Zero versions or SC NSX.

The 360 is nearly 2 seconds quicker to 100mph and that gap keeps growing. No arguing with ponies, even if they're Italian.

I've driven both, back to back, and the 360 is appreciably quicker than a standard NSX. Lightened would close the gap, but I'm not sure it would redress the balance.

IF money seems to be no object to you based on previous threads... then just buy this. It is the complete solution to your problem.

I've got a mate who owns a global shipping company and I could get a really, really good deal getting it over for you. ( might want a couple bits for myself naturally ;) )

We all know that the inside cabin sound is one the best bit of the car, but to those outside, they would not appreciate what we hear inside unless of course you fit a different cat back system, remove the cats etc etc, but what happens when you remove the engine cover? Is there a noticable increase in sounds to the cabin and to those outside? (for those with standard system). I know people go for the Type R mesh cover for weight saving and pleasing to the eye!

Can't comment outside, but IMHO it makes the car that much exciting to drive.

£29995 i dont want to be too greedy!!!!!!!!!

I think the problem you'll have with the 30K price tag is the 11K buying price. You might be lucky and find a buyer who doesn't use the forum, but it's still fictional money for a car that hasn't got any ID numbers and has been resprayed twice.

Look at it from this perspective, Which car would you rather have; a mint original 2001 car with full history with say 25K miles or a registered car with a dubious history?

People who buy NSX's are usually enthusiasts who know a bit about the cars already.

Just out of interest, did you paint it an original NSX colour?

I'm not saying the cars not worth anything, it's just not worth 30K.

simonprelude
05-11-2007, 06:50 PM
Isn't blackmarket one of the people that bought the car after it was sprayed ??

Sold on ebay by expressplates to sianieb** and now in the hands of blackmarket ??

So sold at auction for £11k, resprayed Silver, then allegedly sold for £21k on ebay, then after the interior has been added possibly for sale at £30k.

I'm just jealous that I didn't buy it at auction.

There's got to be around £15k profit in that.

I think you could struggle to find a buyer who doesn't figure out it's history.

The finishing on the interior could be really tough to match the quality one would expect with a 2004 with such low miles.. to any buyer that will be first red-flag.

Are you planning on enjoying it, or did you buy it to fix up and sell for profit?

I think this car needs to find an owner that knows the story & intends to keep it for a very long time as it will always be an interesting shift?

That interior has been parted out. However, putting an interior from a 1992, and a tatty one at that, into the 2004 is going to look soooo wrong.

Attempts to make this car a road going one should of been abandoned ages ago. I guess all the previous owners tried it thinking they'll make something on it. The better way to have gone, is to really make it into a racing car. Which it never was, even in its blue/white days. That was a cover up to hide the fact it was stolen.

Hey Kevin,

Is this one worth a project for a Race going car? or could the stuctural changes that were made reak havoc on the over all handling/integrity?

I agree though, can't see this ever being a road going car based on what people have said who have seen it.

At 15K it was worth having,, but anything more is an emotional purchase or foolish money making endeavor?

* I think I can make it with both my cars to the Track day in December.. check out my Rides section for a bit of info on the Zed.
