NSX-R Front Chassis Reinforcement bars + The front strut tower bar.

Is one better than the other... both a good idea?

Will I notice a difference. i.e. in the end £500 well spent?

Both a good idea. Especially NSX-R bars. A lot of happy customers have fitted these.
Cost of this is nowhere near £500 btw :)

What about £330 for the parts... £100 to put on, maybe a £150?

I did mine in a few hours and had a lot of coffee breaks! No way is £ 150 for that! All you need is basic rachets, a Stanley knife and a Torque Wrench!

It's a really good upgrade and as people have said, quite straight forward to do. Just be careful you don't damage the radiator.

Makes an enormous difference to the alleged poor on-the-limit feel of the S2000, so I would expect similar with the NSX, which has much better feel to begin with.

I have Type-R bars and the're the bollicks. They tighten up the front end where you didn't notice it was loose before. Makes the front end handle crisp. As before, no where near 500 quid.

There is a great pictorial post at NSXPrime that shows a step by step instruction on there installation. I took my time and it took 3.5 hrs. The hardest part is removing the radiator duct but it's really not so bad, just be patient. Also, where it tells you to cut to fit the front bar take your time. Remember measure twice and cut once. If your careful there will only be a slot 2" by 2.5" or so and it will look like the factory did the work. Don't forget to paint the front one black before you install it or it will stand out inside the radiator intake slot and look like rubbish from the front.

Does anyone know whether the bolts for the bars are already on the car or come with the bars? I assume you need bolts for the two brackets that hold the bar over the front rad. :)

They should come with them.

I remember seeing it in the book too. If you haven't already got the book, buy it! I guess you could see if the photographer is mentioned in the references, but i imagine it's from Honda.

You don't need bolts to attach the bars to the car, as you reuse ones already there. You should have some bolts that attach the rad bars to the brackets.
