Alcantara was standard on NA1 NSX-R, it was also found as an option on NA1 JDM cars. The NA2 NSX-R has a rubberry finish instead.

The Alcantara interior is one of the most special parts of the 3.0 NSX-R IMO. I would love to replicate this and add a touch of CF for a special interior.

The pic looks like it's been retrimmed.
Of course no NSX has a leather dashboard, it's all vinyl baby!

Talking of retrims, found this that shows what is possible ... not to my taste but looks well done ... yours for $3k plus shipping ;)

I like the seats, not so sure about getting the whole interior done in the same fabric and shade though.

One of the old NSXCB members (from when it was an email list) had a imported Silver/Black 1994 JDM car with the alcantara dashboard etc.
It wore the reg L131 NJO back in 1999... I wonder if the car is still alive/around?

That plate is not registered anymore so it has a new identity....
Alcantara is nice, but is a pain in the neck to keep clean.

That re trim is not bad Paul, just looks like a cheaper Alcantara. Generally looks ok, but not sure of the diamond stiching effect on the seat bottoms tho!

I think that looks classy.
Strange world of choices.

There's a chap in the midlands who retrims interiors. He did my mate's FTO in full leather throughout plus extra soundproofing, to a high quality. he owns an NSX and says he would be able to do a similar retrim as he has all the fittings to base his templates on.

Ary, having looked at them again,I can see your point of view, they growing on me! Suppose with that stiching style, theres no chance the bottom leather moving with your buttocks! :D
Steve, it would be interesting to see what he would charge for a full interior re-trim? or maybe retrimming just the driver's bolster as its a common weakness spot! :)
