Original NSX Floor mats

I popped into my local dealer today with the plans on ordering a new set of floor mats. I got a real shock to find that they charge £220.00 for 2 mats!!!!! I think that price was plus vat too. Is there any reason why original mats are so expensive? are they made from some almost extinct animal or some space age material!!!lol

To be honest, that doesn't suprise me! I remember my lowly Clio Sport having mats over £100. Perhaps you want to hold out for some second hand items...

Not special apart from they are for the NSX! It would be cheaper to buy from a vendor here, maybe Bazza aka VtecDirect. Maybe a group buy as even cheaper! :)

Err 'cos it's a Honda, and an NSX at that? There are other things which will surprise you more than that.

It was a £60k+ car new. Honda figured £250 was small fry for a set of mats on the extras list.

i got some cheap and cheerful ebay ones ( I think they were under 20 quid), and keep my original ones for special occasions! i'm not sure if it's because they are JDM, but they have a really deep shag! oo-er...

are they all deep...er... shag, or just JDM ones?

The JDM are fluffier but Honda UK ensure you get shag*** deep, and more so on the NSX-R ones.
