My car seems to have come with quite a large remote which I assume is for the door locks. It looks like a genuine honda item with only open button. Question I have is how to replcae the battery? cant seem to find it?

My fob is a Honda with two buttons and has two small screws on the back! Surely whether you have screws or not, the fob case should split into two to reveal a battery!?

Found the battery's, its an sstrange looking remote, 3inches long and just over an 1inch wide. There was a small flap at the bottom the popped out then inside that was a small tray like device that pulls out to reveal the batterys, 3 in total. Will take some pics:

LOL!! Just need a button now to send it to Ireland!!lol
I actually found a JDM accessory booklet in along with some of the original papers and it shows the remote/alarm. Its called HONDA ACCESS, and according to the manual there is some hidden buttons up under the drivers side lower steering trim that arm and disarm the remote/alarm, so it could be possible that something is switched off there. Will get a look in the morning.
Honda Access is simply the Honda brand for the Honda accessories.
Maybe someone removed the original alarm.
Cheers,

Most alarms are de-activated when the car is shipped from Japan.
It could just be that the system was removed years ago.
