ok my cousin makes custom exhausts and headers for all sorts of cars.

Nsx manifolds are dear, so we're going to make some. i am NOT PLANNING TO SELL THESE, i want to do it for my own car. 1k-3k for stainless piping is too dear in my opinion.

I need either-

a) exact measurements and dimensions of the headers (pref the top makes)

or, preferably

b) lend me your headers and I will copy them. Needless to say they will be returned to you as they were received, only polished.

Thanks guys, and happy new year,

Jamie

Mate you will be better off buying a set of NA2 headers/manifolds and then getting him to make youy the adapters.

Is 20 hours labour to remove and reinstall headers according to HUK!

I spoke to a really competent exhaust guy ( ex racing car fabricator ) and he said that it was not cost effective to do it.

Just MHO.

They're manifolds, not headers you heathens!!! :-) Christ, next we'll be calling bonnets 'Hoods' and exhausts 'mufflers'

James I was under the impression that when it was a cast iron collector type thingy it was a manifold, as in the intake, and when they were separate they were headers.

I hate it when I'm wrong! Interested to see that they call them extractors in Australia. Well not that interested really.

Cheers,

James.

No, you're right... manifold and headers are the same. Inlet and exhaust manifolds are different.

I got a set of the 'cheapo' headers from the US Ebay, they are a copy of the DC sports headers (I think) and were less than £500 delivered...would be a lot less hassle than building your own.

http://motors.search.ebay.com/nsx-headers_W0QQfromZR40

mine came from 'price specialist', simons from 'Delubozparts'

both the same thing! fitted without any issues, and tho some on prime whine about a suspect joint, the price more than makes up for it!

BTW I took 10 hours, over 2 days, taking my time to swap them into my car. 20 hours is an awful lot of coffee!

That's why they are known as 'Stealerships'....

Honda Fitted mine for me when they did the cambelt service and the valve clearances, definitely does not take them anywhere near that long as they had mine finished including the service by about 3pm....
