Hi all,
When was the last time you checked the a/c pipes ahead of the main radiator?
Whilst fitting the chassis bars last week, I noted the main pipe passing from one side to the other had a green residue. I wiped this off to leave the pipes clean.
Returning a few days later and there are a couple of small luminous green droplets on the lower points of this pipe. I spoke to Brian at Nortons who suggests it is the oil added to the a/c to give visual warning of any leaks (as you wouldn't see any gas).
I'm going to see him in a couple of weeks to hopefully replace what he thinks will be a leaking o-ring.
The a/c still works fine so hopefully a quick and easy fix. As this area is hidden for most by the front number plate, it may be an area not often viewed, hence the quick heads up.
Hope all are ok.
regards, Paul
