Hi Guys,

I was wondering if there is a museum in the UK? I know some of you have seen Ayrton's NSX, do you know where that comes from, is it just the marketing department or does someone actually look after special/landmark hondas?

Cheers

Rob

I think the nearest is the Honda UK press office / workshops, Ian (AquilaEagle) on the S2000 forum has arranged previous visits of which I think a few members from here have been.

It all depends on what you want to see, most things are in places like Haynes / Donington.

Thanks for the info (and broken link mentions!). Do you think that's where Ayrton's NSX is held then?

That's the group of people who restored the Auto NSX that Ayrton drove at one stage.

Its the Honda Institute, a training facility for all Honda technicians, management etc. I went with the S2000 guys, a very interesting day. Highlights included watching at close quarters a steering wheel airbag go off:eek:
Some lovely bikes / cars there from earlier years, although this is not a museum.

I wonder if we could get suficient interest to organise a trip? I'm sure Honda UK would relish another opportunity to photograph a group of the best road car they ever built!
I'll get in touch with Ian on S2ki to get the contact info, and see what we can arrange.

Yes I'd be interested, always been working when the S2000 trips have been on :(
Institute, that's the word I was looking for, it's been deprogrammed from my brain for some reason :)

Would be great to go, i'm sure they'd do a nice cover shot of the club for the Honda owners magazine too.

I have a press contact now so i will drop an email off in the week.

However...... I'll get on the case again.
