Hi guys,

Hope all is well with you all. I'm looking to get a new set of alloys, either 16/17 or 17/18 - any suggestions of dealers/shops which I should consider? I'm based in London so perhaps somewhere within the 100miles radius?

Cheers

Vic

These guys have a good reputation http://www.elitedirect.com/

Alternatively, have a look as Science of Speed in the US with the good exchange rates http://www.scienceofspeed.com/products/exterior_performance_products/NSX/wheels.asp

Your other option, depening on what you want, is to talk to Procar who I beleive have both NSX-R rims and other options available.

HTH and hope to see you at Japfest next month http://nsxcb.co.uk/testvb/showthread.php?t=4179

regards, Paul

many thanks for the info Paul. Small world.... i did give elite a call a couple of days back but the wheels they suggested just don't seem to work - e.g. even for a 17", the tyre width they're quoting are something in the region of 215 and 18/225 which seems a bit odd/narrow. Currently, i'm running 17/215 up front and 18/295 rears..... they came with the car when i bought it a few yrs back - it's too big and a pain to get tyres for, hence i'm considering down sizing to 16/17.

Wonder what set ups do you have?

I think I am running standard for a 1995 car 16"front 215/45/16 I think and 255/40/17 rear?

Looks okay, it would take to being a bit lower in the arches, but Im not going to mess with it!

Cheers Mark.

I'm looking to replace the wheels for practical reasons, i don't want anything flashy as it'll just get stolen and difficult to get tyres for!

Difficulty is sourcing wheel types/models/manufactures which will fit the nsx. Any ideas welcomed!

Depending on what you use the car for...I just did a check on a friend of mines website for tyres (Taunton Tyres) and for Kumho Ecsta KU 31's - 215/40/16 - 48 quid each and 255/40/17 70 quid.

Check what alloys the car has that is going to the breakers soon - its mentioned in another thread on here.

I think you get what you pay for with tyres, ie overall perfomance, grip in dry or wet, braking, ride, noise & wear! Depending how you drive your car, I would down size as you say, but spend as much as you can as tyres are the most important thing as they're the direct link bewteen your car & the road!

yep, agreed. I'm happy to spend ££ on tyres and that's the easy part.....first, i'll need to find the wheels which would fit the nsx and the 215/16 & 255/17 combination.... failing that, 17/17 or 17/18! cheers.
