Is that the one that's designed to go on the boot lid rather than the spoiler as per the 2002+ car ??

It looks........... different.

Hi Simon,

No, its a replica e46 M3 spoiler done in a carbon wrap. I picked it up off ebay for £35.00 Its also quite flexible so I was able to follow the edge line of the NSX spoiler no problem.

You need to come to a few meets, your car will make mine look clean :)
Well some of the time ;)

Yeah I must get organised at some stage and come over. Thats the worst my car has been and its only that bad as I have no steering wheel to get it moved round to the hose, I'm waiting for my NSX-R HUB to arrive so I can fit the MOMO Tuner wheel.

Hi Sudesh,

Do you happy to know what colour your wheels are? I have a set that I'm getting refub'd and would like to get them done that shade of grey!!

Cheers

AMO: the spoiler came with the carbon on it, its not the real deal but looks quite good. You can also get the spoiler in an unpainted black. I went with the carbon because if I didnt like it I could always strip the spoiler and color code it or go with a black finish same as the top of my car. The spoiler is held on to the boot lid with 3M, but I cant see why a more stronger fix cant be used.

Paul: I have no idea what color my wheels are?? I bought them of Keith [bretwood] maybe he knows. To be honest I'm going to have them re-painted in a darker shade, something like this:

Its fairly doubtful that I will ever be doing 150mph! I rairly see much more that 80/90mph
so I think the spoiler will be fine.

Spotted it was the M3 style .... personally I wouldn't have stuck it on top as it looks exactly what it is ... an after market accesory. If you can remove without damage, then as Simon suggests, I would mount to the bootlid to mimic the OEM 02 lip placement.

Just my thoughts ...

Why is your number plate surround/rear bumper different to mine.....I have the classic "euro smiley" I was told about with the number plate surround strip sagging slightly......

I would have thought that lip sploiler was better underneath the main spoiler, to create a lower pressure venturi effect and press down on the back end?

Mark, I think it is a JDM bumper.

The JDM bumpers are both different to the UK/Euro spec. The rear loses the Euro smile and has the smaller plate opening, but, in Germany for example, has a square cap to access the tow hook. The front loses the headlamp washes.

IIRC, Nigel who posts here has the JDM bumpers which was also the US spec and is looking to swap out to the UK spec if you wanted to arrange a swap??
