Are these available anywhere in 245/40 17? Has the tyre been updated since it was OEM?

Many thanks.

I looked for some a while ago without luck, which is why I now have the RE040 / 050 combination. To be honest they feel pretty identical to the 3 or 4 sets of RE010's I got through.

What do the 010s wear like, I'm finding the 050 is quite a soft compound it seems, and it wear quickly on the rears (5000miles and they are gone and quite a bit of that is motorway cruising). Would the Yokohama A-022 wear any slower? or faster?

From memory the A022 was the fastest wearing OEM tyre available on the 16/17 with teh RE010 being in the middle, the Dunlop (I think they were the other option) wearing the longest.

How are your tyres wearing, inner edge, outer edge or across the board.
It could be to do with your allignment settings but 5 - 8k miles on a set I would say was reasonable.

almost completely even, maybe slight more left on the middle, prob because I kept pressure on the lower side of standard as the last set (came with car) were worn much more in the centre), maybe slightly more on the inside edge is worn, but nothing that is going to alter when they need changing, we are talking less than 1mm difference across the whole tread.

Which Dunlop was standard, it's not listed on my plate, and is the tyre still available?

I believe the earlier oem Dunlops were 8050 and later ones 8070 neither are available now.

I am using Dunlop S P 9000 Sports which I find more than adequate, plenty of grip and feel.

Only the rears have been changed by me since I have owned the car (4000 mls) so I think they will be good for 5 to 8000mls as suggested above.
