How funny... was thinking about getting a hold of "blackmarket" last week... I had actually hoped he didn't come up with the interior and was wanted to give up on the project.

Looks like he's put a lot of time into it,eh

WOW! On a quick read this car has really been through quite a bit! I was just looking at the pics before you added the links and I was thinking something just doesnt look right about that car, sits quite high at the front, a good bit of the interior is from an earlier car, the steering wheel looks to have more wear on it than one would have with 5,000 miles, no passanger airbag by the looks of it either.

simonprelude
02-06-2008, 09:17 PM
The wheels are a mess, the interior is out of a very early car.

You would be out of your mind to pay anything over £25k for that car in that condition.

Somebody looks like spend a lot of time puting this nsx back on the road. From my memory(because i was interested in that NSX in the past until i got some more info about it) this car was without vin numbers and some of electrics was ripped to peaces plus antiroll bars fitted and mostly of interior parts was missing. And it do not look that whoever done it done it in wright way.Its still looks dodgy. But anyway i think this NSX would be still worth up to 20000.But probably before buying that you have to think if all electric wiring problems will not become a big pain in a.ss in future(or maybe not just that)because its looks like this poor NSX was quickly fixed and then washed just for sale.

I wondered when we'd see that car again. No vin numbers, a hole in the boot, an early interior and wheels that are two sizes too big for it. You've also got to wonder whether they repsrayed it the correct colour?

Can't see it's worth any more that 18K. Perhaps if it had been put back to an original car it may have been worth low 20's but £30K is highly optimistic.

Cheers,

James.

Without VIN numbers the car shouldn't get an MOT.

Obviously this must have been added somewhere ??

For anyone interested, the VIN and engine numbers should be.............

JHMNA21404T200011
C32B23130011

Just in case anyone tries to disguise the car in the future.

Nice to see the seller has edited his advert in response to this thread! It's good to note that he is a well balanced, reasonable, educated individual! It should give potential buyers comfort that they are purchasing a car from such an enthusiastic professional!!

God what an interesting edit to his add! Its nice to see he thinks its ok to take £29k of someone’s hard earned money to buy such a well “threw together” car not to mention the lack of true information or correct description. You would have thought time would have better spent revising the add to describe the vehicle correctly, rather than slate true NSX enthusiasts and their superb vehicles.

There's this bloke who has a very nice W plate NSX and then for some strange reason went and downgraded it with a Black 55 plate :) (I'm still jealous of both of them though :( )

What can I say, it's more of a public service than anything else.
That car has already turned quite a bit of profit, hopefully one of the greedy traders will get burnt as they seem to have done with another car that sold this week.

Just read the revised advert and it's quite entertaining.

The best bit for me is the question at the bottom stating that are are loads of NSX's for sale?! They must mean the 6 on AT or the 10 on Pistonhead? Some of these are advertised are on both sites which leaves about 8-10 cars for sale....Is that a lot? As a comparison there are '1928' 911's currently for sale!!!

The 20% overprice thing doesn't make any sense either, especially as this kind of conflicts with the £30K this guy wants?!

Additionally, how you can say a set of cheap aftermarket 19" wheels are an upgrade?

Cheers,

James.

I recon there are more like 15+ NSX's for sale right now, if you go looking. Although only let's say 5% of the market, it still seems like a high number to me. or is that norm over the years?

Wonder how many 911's there are in the UK?

Of those, I know there are a few which are marketed minimally as the owner doesn't really want to sell.

A few others are overpriced and have been for sale for over a year.
Remove these cars (and the repaired Cat C/D's) oh and the auto's as these require a completely different market and I guess you are in single figures.

I would still guess 5% is probably a pretty low figure if you think the average ownership of a car will be less than 2 years. There really should be a lot more for sale than there are.

i agree, the actual number of good cars available outside the forum is very low.

Drove mine into London this a.m. through traffic... got looks the whole way & a couple 'thumbs up'

1,928 911's for sale. Thats a huge number, and bet most of them only get a half 2nd glance!

I know, that's why I chose to pick on you next :)
But as per the ebay sellers prediction, when your W plate is only worth £10k I'll give you a good deal.

Anyway, I have found the pictures of the Blue and White car now, should I post them ??

The car was stripped and I imagine a good chance the speedo was disconnected.
Also I think he needs reminding it's x thousand miles or 12 months, whichever is sooner.
