I'm staying at Whistler mountainbike park in BC. I can't believe the riding we're doing. It's pretty hardcore and a real body wrecker.
Here's a vid I found of one of the trails we did today. I'm new to north shore and didn't know what was coming.

F**K THAT
I thought the single track downhills in Afan Valley were bad enough,i would never attempt that !!!
Maybe it was the camera lens/angle but some of those jumps looked very big.
It's testament to the quality of the bikes suspension though, that the camera didn't shake about as much as you would expect.

It's crazy out here. Yesterday we did a trail called goats gully which you'd seriously struggle to walk up. I'm glad I bought a Downhill bike to do this as it's soooo punishing. Another cool thing is there are lots of hardcore female riders. The olny downside is that every morning I feel like I've been in a car crash!

James.

It's an Intense Socom. Today I went over to flat pedals because the clips were killing my feet. Now I'm learning not to pull up on table tops which is tricky; like unlearning 18 years of bad habbit! The first couple of runs today resulted in a couple of involuntary no-footers!Anyway, it's an awesome venue out here and 5 hours a day of riding is really improving my skills.

Cheers,

James.

I've just picked up a mountain bike that I bought last week. It's nothing special, a FELT Racing bike. Nothing like the Colnago road bike I got a while back. Haven't done mountain biking before so just got this to try it out.

Holiday in the UK over now, it's back to the Alps for me today.:)
