Hi folks,
are there any computer savvy people on here that can help me out.
I went into my local Honda stealership to price up a new 2008 CD for my Sat Nav and was quoted £210  for a bloody cd.surely there MUST be a way of getting something off the net.
hopefully one of you can point me in the right direction or my Sat Nav is never getting updated :(
Cheers,
Ivor.

Have you tried ebay? I had a similar experience with BMW. So I looked on ebay and got the latest software and firmware for my X5 for £50 and it worked perfect!!

The firmware upgrades the nav drive, the software is the map itself. On the BMW the drive is upgraded also to unlock new features such as 3D perspective view, post code searches etc and to allow 2008/09 maps to work.
Your vehicle might not be the same and only need the maps.

Thanks for that.also thanks for the ebay tip. There is a guy on there who does CD's at £20 a pop,so i will give him a try. If it doesn't work i'm only down £20,but if it does work i will save £190.
Cheers,
Ivor.
