There was an NSX in this colour at Japfeast 07, I would call it Lipstick Red in colour.

In that light it looks great, however, get it in bright sunlight and the pearl effect turns it pink!! I think NSX2k was being polite ;)

It does indeed look a bit pink in normal sunlight, sort of a metallic version Porsche Rubystone Red (ahem..pink) that a lot of 964 RS's came in. Not everyones taste but neither is IOP so I respect the owners decision to go wih his personal choice over the default Silver/Grey/Blue easy to retail/resell option ;)

Best bit is that the car in the pic is a Type S :) You can just see the sill plates and tell that the car came throught the "Custom Made" program. I guess that's how/where it got that particular colour.

They just havn't taken the protective wrapping off.

Best bit is that the car in the pic is a Type S :) You can just see the sill plates and tell that the car came throught the "Custom Made" program. I guess that's how/where it got that particular colour.

Are you saying that all type S's have gold surrounds onthe sill to indicate that they went through the custom program ... or is this a custom type S?

No, most Type S's carry the normal sill plate. Only cars that needed to be taken off the production line, such as it was, to be painted a custom colour or fitted with certain options carry the "Custom Made by Honda" sill plate.

The Type S standard spec didn't include airbags, eps, cruise etc so fitting one or more of these may be the reason?

Mine had all of these options fitted so carry's a "Custom Made by Honda" sill plate.

I see - did you get rid of your cruise in favour of the S sstyle steering wheel or is it in there somewhere!? I want to get an S but one of the things that (marginally) puts me off is the cruise!
