Apparently only 164

I think sixth is a better gear for top speed than non-R, so even though it has worse drag than standard (0.32 to 0.3), I can't see it having much more power than standard.

Great find, the car is very stable at max speed which surprised the driver. The slightly worse drag factor comes from extra down force from spoilers etc, which won't help in a top speed drag, but its all about the great cornering abilities. A type R may not have any extra bhp or only slightly more? But shouldn't the lighter weight saved of around 100 to 120 kgs not help top speed? Also the overall gearing must be shorter in the first 5 gears, before the 6th as the 0-60 times is suppose to be around 4.4 or mid 4 seconds? Shame Fuzilov is NSXCB shy?

One of my fave video about how special the NSX R is, shame it finishes at the engine tightening stage! :(

That track's straight in japan wasnt long enough to reach real topspeed capacity, but its usefull for a good comparsion with other cars.
'Steep turns' (Steilwandkurven) have the effect to slow down the car.

The rpm of NSX-R was 'only' 7.000, which is ~ 264 km/h (164mph)
regarding that the rpm meter generally shows 100-200 rpm more.

We have tested the NSX-R at the german autobahn, the rpm meter shows
7.900 rpm = 295 km/h (183mph).
Under optimal conditions its possible to reach 8.000+ rpm
