View Full Version : Replacing my NSX...

Had a good look around an R8 today and really liked it... then walked back to the NSX and it gave me that special feeling we all know and love which I just wouldn;t get with the R8. IT would be up to date, more roomy and comfortable which are all plusses but it's teh overall package and probably my loyalty to the NSX that means the R8 doesn't take the biscuit.

This however makes me **** in my panties and would be worth every penny of those extortionate running costs. Depreciate my little beuaty and in a few years you will be mine:cool:

Awesome ... I question the sanity of anyone that doesn't think this car is the nuts (apart from teh running costs!)

Luke that car is the nuts, but I doubt that either you or me would fit in those buckets!

OMG this one in the trade:

LAMBORGHINI Gallardo - V10 2dr Coupe Manual 6 Speed
0757 1,800 Miles 1 owner Orange
Distance: 155 miles
Full franchise service history UK Car
Additional comments: Superleggera who will give me £92000

Thats less miles and a £15k saving over that other one!!

I'll take 2!

For that car... I'll diet, have lipo and wear a girdle:laugh:

Maybe I'll have to settle for this:

It has to be orange though, a Lambo in any other colour just doesn;t seem right!

Luke,

Superleggera is the only spec to have, absolutely love the interior!!!!!!

If this is a private sale, then I'd wager that if you could cover his/her settlement figure they'd deal!

This would of been around £120k new?? Probably p/x something of similar pedigree plus deposit so financed >£90k with high residual, maybe £75k. Will be paying around £600 pm. I reckon you could own this for around £85k ... which would buy an aweful lot of Pampers!!!!!

Better deal ... buy a set of Pole positions, do an alcantara refresh with some CF for the console and door panels and you'd smile even more as you watch Gallardo prices continue to tumble

regards, Paul

I agree with you regarding the road presence, but the Gallardo is the better drivers car(from what i've read obviously :) )

Autocar reckon that a nearly new Gallardo can be had for £75k in cash easily.

When this little beauty heads south of £60k I'll be having one :)

Luke,

What happens if you have 2 car mad kids and they both want to come for a Sunday drive? The boot doesn't have ISOFIX. Realistically, I reckon my next car is going to have to be a 4 seater.

Have to agree I would have the Murcielago over the Gallardo anyday. To me a true Lamborghini with all the proper traits! Although the Murcielago is not as user firendly but who cares when its a car like that, its not going to be an everyday thing anyway. If you want to go into a completely different league, I'll sell you my F40 Luke!

I think Luke would be a single man pretty quickly if he dropped £300K on your F40 Sudesh...if he had it spare of course .

Yours is on Pistonheads I presume - is actually with you in person or abroad? Looks amazing!

Thanks Matt! Its still abroad but I'm bringing it over along with a 360. I'd do him a special deal of course!! And take his NSX too if he wanted to part with it and I'm open to offers on organ donations as its a recession proof business at the moment lol!!

Simon, I agree that green (lime?) is so much nicer than yellow! In my eyes & a few others, only a big Lambo can get away with green. Any other cars they look poo!

I quite like the new RS in lime green and apparantly thats the main color thats been ordered by new owners.

Hmmmm....Lambo's just don't do it for me.

I would go for something slower, less reliable, more shoddily built, more expensive to run, but much, much more beautiful:

I have promised myself that one day I will own a red car, even if its only for a year or so (or until I am destitute....probably aabout the same period of time!)

That is beautiful, but everytime I see something like that on the road I'm sure it's a kit car and am usually proved wrong :(

They just seem to either be put together badly or really suffer mechanically.

They just seem to either be put together badly or really suffer mechanically.

Sadly, it is the nature of the beast.

I know someone who has one and (very bravely given the value of these things now) does all his own renovation.

When he was refurbing the door internals he was shocked / horrified / amused to find that string played a significant part in the window winding mechanism!

I went off the Gallardo after parking next to one and then chasing one around the countryside ... came to the conclusion that it just simply isn't worth the extra ££ over the NSX .... that said it still turns heads!

AS for the Dino .... .... almost got me to buy a lotto ticket!! I'm just not sure I could get into wearing the cravet and driving gloves, but a I remember the theme tune ....

Dum Dum, De Dum Dum .... come on, I'm sure I'm not the only one for whom this programme was the first intro to a Dino??

Ok, last clue, the other car was an Aston :)

regards, Paul

Hoorah, I'm not alone :) I loved it and so began my obsession with cars! A Ferrari AND an Aston Martin all in one show!!!

Hugh Grant and George Clooney are to star in a film remake of cult television show The Persuaders.
Following the recent Hollywood trend for turning classic films and small-screen series into blockbusters, the pair will reprise the international playboy roles made famous by Roger Moore and Tony Curtis.

That's what RS4s are for ... the NSX needs to be retained to get me to work!

I'm sure a Lambvo would do the same job... but not for a few years!
