if you are like me, you will convince yourself you need one.......so i would just do it, so what if you have just payed over 2 grand for something that just sounds different. you will drive your car convinced that it goes better, and gets more mpg, i do. :?

Not for £2K ! They won't even sell you one unless you get a group buy going so I told them where to stick it. I would rather get a custom one..... Mines getting done right now as we speak :D

Looking forward to hearing it, Steve.. What's the lead time (ie: how long do H&S take?)

Hi Joe,
They are inundated as always so minimum of 1 months wait for bookings. They need your car for 2-3 days for an exhaust. For manifolds/headers the may need it for longer.
I hope my anticipation will turn out to be +ve. I have no nails left!! I am counting down the seconds....
I spoke to tubi style and they quoted me a price of about £ 2K and lead time of 6 - 8 weeks paying 25% down. I am just waiting to see if it will fit the 3.2L.
Well I have already put down 20% and Many from Tubi is a great chap and it will be less than the predicted £ 2K. I am very excited and with a lead time of 4 to 6 weeks I can't wait !

Yup, Manu's a top bloke - really knows his stuff. I wondering if your going to the *** show at East of England Showground, Peterborough? Would love to listen to yours and compare to my Paddock Performance system....
Sadly I will be working so I will not be able to attend, but I am looking forward to the next NSXCB meet.

Hi AR,
Will you be coming down to Egham to have the exhaust fitted? I also own an Imola Orange 3.2 6spd and happen to work in Egham!
I'd love to hear the Tubi in action and maybe we can get a pic or two of our Ginger Ninja's together :)
Let me know if and when you'll be coming down and if it's convienient we could meet up.
Cheers
Mark
Yes Mark, I'll be having it fitted by them. I will let you know as soon as they have it in and that way we can meet up.

From Tubi Style ( scuderia ) apparently I will be getting one of the ones that did not make it to the US group buy from Prime.
It should be here soon, I hope !
Well my Tubi arrived last week but as of yet we are trying to work out a day to get it done. It will be closer to £ 1600.00. They asked me if I would rather have them ship it to me for local fitting, but since Honda won touch it and I waited about two months I'll rather have them do it. I also heard about Tubi fittment issues on NSX Prime and would rather they deal with it since they are used to fitting Tubis.
BTW Mark, I'll PM you when I have a fitting date.
Cheers

Tubi exhaust £ 1500.00
Fuel for round trip to London £ 50.00
Food bought at the services £ 8
How nice the car looks and sounds with the tubi on
PRICELESS
What can I say. The tubi is fantastic and this one fits like it should. Manu was very helpful and honest about price and delivery times. When my next car needs and exhaust it will be a Tubi.
More to come with pictures later.

What does it sound like at cruising speed, 50-80mph? Its not too droning is it? Just when I do pull my finger out and get an NSX (still looking for the right one) I will definately get rid of the standard pipe. I would like it to look like the later model with the nice round tips.
How long did it take to arrive, fit etc? Worth the dough?

I would love to compare the "tone" at cruising speed.
I was unable to control myself (again!!), and so bit the bullet and got the SS Rice rocket from Mark at Dali. At a total cost of US$500 I decided it was worth the gamble. We fitted it ourselves, which was interesting!! But I have to say the sound is stunning, particularly after the OEM pipes.
I was a bit blown away by the sound initially, but now I love it. The only area of slight discontent is the droning while holding between 2,500 to 3,00rpm, once past this the resonance disappears again.
I would be interested to know if the TUBI has a similar resonance, and where does it come in and out??
Hopefully below are some photos of the fitting.
Ciaran.
There is no droning, just a growling rumble when I first start the car, then it growls/ gargles ? until about 3500 then it changes again and it becomes louder. Above 70 MPH it becomes quite docile inside the cabin but you can hear it growl when going thru tunnels.
Will try to get some pictures up, the rain and taking out the tailights have kept me from taking any pics of the tubi.
Cheers

There you have it, it looks pretty but it is the sounds that wins you over.

Looks great, I might have to pop across on the fast ferry one day to compare "tunes". In reality I'm only about 60 miles away. One of these day when there's nothing else to do.......

Think we pm late last year with a view of meeting. Havent followed up on this.
My NSX has had a Tubi exhaust fitted. Perhaps a meet in Dublin or thereabouts could satisfy your curiosity regarding sounds.
Few resistered owners in Ireland /N Ireland generally
Or, alternatively, you are welcome in Newcastle Co Down

Do not forget that a decatted car will sound much louder. Also tubi has had at least two differnt exhausts for the NSX. The new tubi and old tubi sound slightly different.
All in all it must be one of the best exhaust for the NSX.

Hi S,
Yes its been a while.
It would be great to compare the exhaust caracteristics.....
The Porsche boys have another track day in Mondello on Sunday 16th Oct, we should try to meet up there.
It's a midday start 12.30 ish, and runs as an open pit lane until 18.00, followed of course by the mandatory socialising in a nearby hotel.
Baring something unforseen ...I will be there
