Can anyone recommend a good car cover for indoor use?
It has to have very good fit and easy to take off. Did Honda ever made one for it?
Many thanks in advance:)

O.E.M.
Mine fits great even with the Type-R wing and looks great as well.
It fits tight but it makes it fit the profile of the car and makes it look good even with the cover on.

Try an Authorized Honda Dealer.
If they're to expensive in the U.K., give Ray Laks Acura a ring at 1-888-729-5257, should be toll free. Ask for Tim, tell him ''nigel' said to call.
They're in New York, U.S. but the price he'll give you will be so good after shiping, (sometimes free) and Gordon Browns bit, if applicable, you'll still get a great deal.
Cheers

Hi, JP825.
You may struggle to find a new OEM one as Honda no longer manufactures it as a new batch. You will need to find one from the remaining stock.
There seems to be lots of nice aftermarket ones as well.
Not sure of using the car cover for indoor storage but as I don’t know your aim of using it, please take it as just my personal view.
If you want to try finding the OEM one, then followings are some information and part no. for you.
* 08P34-SL0-200 For 91 – 01 model
Made from Polyester/Cotton
About $160 with discount in US.
About GBP173 + VAT from UK Honda dealer.
On some of the US website, it looked like Gray car cover with Red ‘NSX’ logo on the front without ‘Acura’ or ‘Honda’ logo but please confirm this if you are interested in this one.
* 08P34-SL0-200A For 02 – 05 model
Made from Polyester/Cotton
About $227 with discount in US.
It seems that this one is not available in UK.
On some of the US website, it looked like Gray car cover with Blue ‘NSX’ logo on the front with ‘A’ mark of Acura but please confirm this if you are interested in this one.
* 08P34-SL0-J00 For all year model
Made from Gore-Tex with side panel protection
It seems that this one is not available in UK. Not sure about US.
It is available in Japan and probably the most expensive car cover for JDM production car.
About JPY189,000 which is about GBP1,500  at current exchange rate.
As per attached photo.
4817
* 08P34-SL0-A00 For all year model
Made from Gore-Tex without side panel protection
About GBP727 + VAT. Not sure about US.
Same as above except this one does NOT include the side protection.
* 08P34-SL0-C00 Seems to be for all year model
Made from Polyester only
About GBP137 + VAT. Not sure about US.
Blue car cover with White ‘NSX’ logo at the front but please confirm this if you are interested in this one.
Again, it all depends on the remaining stock at the dealer.

charlie:one, I like your cover with the "Honda" logo.
Do they make that one in a different colour and would they ship to the U.S. if so?
I don't know how long for me to save 100 quid but i'd like one.
As Kaz said, the OEM covers are out of production.
Keep looking at the "For Sale" section at Prime as they do come up for sale from time to time.
I got my OEM there for $65 U.S., last spring, that's about 43 of the queens finest at present, with carrying bag, anti-theft cable and lock and it was like new.
It's gray with a red NSX logo on the front.
Cheers

Hi JP825,
Like you I wanted a good indoor cover...
I got this from Mark in Dali last year. Its very soft on the inside, fits well, I like the logo, and this bag that comes with it is handy to keep it in during the summer...
From other comments on this thread, I'm glad I have this "extra" now, as they are clearly going to get scarce in the future...

I have a Classic Additions indoor cover in sweatshirt material (best description) in red/black with grey piping between the two - looks great. But you can have any colour combination you like. It is made to measure and fits perfectly. all my bikes and cars have one. Reasonable price too - look in car mags for details.

I'm not looking for a record...:) but what are the options nowadays if you're looking for such a pyjama?
I've seen SoS has one ($250) and thensxshop has one from Route-KS (a little bit expensive at $500). Does anyone have the SoS one or could recommend a good one?

Main usage?
Just for indoor storage or going to be used outside as well?

Just for indoor storage over the winter period to keep dust (as well as mouses, rats and children) from the car. :)
I won't be using it during the driving season as it won't be dirt-free and I fear to scratch the paint when it's not absolutely clean.

Not cheap, but IMHO you can't beat the Covercraft Custom covers.

I got mine from SpecialisedCovers.com - the prestige elite model, no less. Fits perfectly and provides great protection. Comes with an inner bag and a hold-all.

Every year at Silverstone Classic, I visited the Classic Additions stand and checked the material used.
I have also seen and felt the custom made indoor one for NSX.
Very soft inside and stretches really well so for indoor usage, good for dust protection.

Classic Additions do a great cover for the NSX. The material used is brilliant and done to a high quality. mine is an indoor cover
been using it for years and still fits the car really well and there is still a good tightness in the cover.
highly recommend

Thanks for all replies. So this one https://www.classicadditions.com/en-GB/honda-nsx-super-soft-stretch-indoor-car-cover/vmd_10072-167607 would a good choice?
With or without mirror pockets?
With or without Logo?

i opted for the custom cover
https://www.classicadditions.com/en-GB/honda-nsx-custom-indoor-car-cover/vmd_10073-167607
the mirror pockets are great, they help with putting the cover on. its big and heavy so these act as a good guide and get you going
i put an H logo on mine, looking back i wish i had specced an NSX logo. they might be able to do this for you
mine is black with yellow piping. the material is excellent

Deos the custom cover offer a better fit than the standard one of if the double price all about the additional options you can get with the custom one?

I've got the standard cover in black. I find the stretchy material offers a pretty good fit. I didn't bother with the mirror pockets, I can understand the logic in using the pockets as a guide but it only takes a few minutes to fit the cover anyway so no big deal for me (I put the cover on after turning in the mirrors).
Each to their own but personally I wouldn't bother spending the extra.

i can't comment on the better fit as this is the only car additions cover i have. i have had the cover for several years now and it still fits like a glove after all these years
the quality of the indoor custom one is excellent IMO.
as stated the mirror pockets are nice to have but when you are tight for space its easier to be able to get the cover on easily and these are great in helping
give them a call or send an email, they should be able to confirm any differences in materials used etc.
i bought a cover recently for the S from a company in Devon, UK ... its not even on a level with the one from CA i got for the NSX.

I've got a response from them and they say that "The custom made covers are made to measure for the specific models of cars whereas the super soft stretch are more generic for a number of makes and models."
So I think I'm going to order a custom one. But now have problem to choose all the additional options it offers...any help is welcome...a really crazy combination is really tempting but not sure if I'm still going to like it in a few years...
What do you think (be honest :))?

There you go
As i said the custom cover is a fantastic fit and shows the lines of the car perfectly.
its very snug
I went for black as the main colour and yellow piping to match my car
included the mirror pocket option
Logo option (H) logo
That was enough for me and it does its job very well indeed
not sure if there was that many options available back then than there is now possibly. Plus my cover was a gift and i did not want to take the pi$$ with regards to costs! :)
with regards to your graphic, i think that cover looks really busy especially with the stripes
my approach was keep it simple and align it to the colours of the car
Have fun speccing!

Nice one. Sounds very nice ... my mistake on the H logo on mine would have preferred NSX.
I would be surprised if you don't have it prior to then. Mine too was a Christmas present and it landed before then and was ordered in and around November time when my order was taken. I think you should get it
You should be pleased with it; they make a great cover IMHO

Thanks for your input. I've supplied them with a picture of the OEM cover and a pdf of the desired logo. They've told me that they can't position it exactly due to the stretch charateristics of the material they use but I'm pretty confident they'll do a good job.

Has anyone on here ordered the NSX custom cover from Classic Additions and if so did you have just the "NSX" logo itself stitched on or printed on the material???
Thanks in advance.

Here's the final result of the cover fitted to the car which arrived today. The fitment is very good. A little bit expensive but as the saying goes: "you are what you wear". Source: Classic Additions UK. Thanks for all your inputs and Merry Christmas to all!

Looks good Thomas, did you get the NSX logo stitched or printed in the end???
Do you mind telling everyone how much the cover cost and if you have any gripes now you've fitted it.
Cheers.

Hi Clive
The logo is printed on and the quality is very good IMO. There's nothing wrong with printing and I would choose it that way again.
The cover was around $450-500 shipped and imported to Switzerland. The one of SoS would have been around $350 in the end but the fitment of mine is far superior compared to the SoS one (see prime). With shipping the total was £321.59. A tailored suit always costs more. :)
Only one small critic: the holes for the side mirrors could be tighter and positioned a tad more to the front of the car.
