Very interesting, I would love to know how they have turned the engine through 90 degrees to make it longitudinal and connect up a transmisson.

Just noticed the engine configuration, is that really feasible unless you have lots of money, time & experimenting! What are the advantages? Now those mirrors look very aero & cool as some parts of the car!

Now, that is some rear exhaust set up and lay-out.....I like!!
Shame they lost the side vents but at least the snorkel is functional and looks the part.

The engine is turned through 90 degrees, which came from the Japanese GT500 class they have been doing this for some time, something to do with weight distribution. Looks well sexy, but you would need 125k i would expect if you could find one and they made it.

I like the idea of the Airbox and will try to incorporate it into my engine upgrade.

Am I the only one that does not like it?!
The wing mirrors look like the helmets the Olympic cyclists wear, and just as big....
The front end styling looks very unimaginitive to me and as SS said, the side vents are missing where they could have helped that bland rear quarter panel.....
IMHO!
Nice bit of Alcantara though and the rear is ok.

I believe the mirrors are genuine Super GT items, so look slightly out of proportion. I don't think that particular rear wing looks that great, and it could be lowered more to fit the race look IMO...
My favourite bit is the exhaust setup up, looks great. The airbox is also a Super GT item. I will try and find out more info but i wouldn't be suprised if the setup is a dummy one or at least incomplete, being a concept car.
EDIT:
"I have to admit that 2 Major Name succeed to surprises us at the last minute and one of them is Mugen is its LORD so gorgeous Honda NSX RR Concept... If unfortunately this vehicle is purely a show-car and do not even have an engine of its own, the NSX RR Concept is in fact Mugen’s way to celebrate the NSX upcoming birthday by giving her a incredible bodykit."

Like it all except the snorkel I just can't take to those things at all. Surely something like a Subaru bonnet slat across the width of the car would look better.

No Sir you are not. I think it's FUGLY as well... IMHO of course :)
I can't say I like any of the "widebody" treatments that get nailed onto perfectly nice NSX's but each to their own.
I guess I'm am old stick in the mud but I prefer they're left as their creator intended. At least as far as looks are concerned :)

I'm in your camp Mark,
Not a fan of the widebody (even though I do like Amo's car :dunno: why)
The only interesting part of this concept for me is the centre console treatment. I've been deliberating for a while about what to do and this is the nicest console treatment I've seen.
as for the rest of it ... No Thanx!
regards, Paul

I thought the console looked good too, anyone got some close ups, I might need a contingency plan on mine.....

Look at the reflection in the windscreen. That would be a LOT of fun to drive with. Not.

Maybe a little worse that the current leatherette, but then red is for show only, certainly would'nt go this route myself

Not sure what Mugen would charge for that console, but the actual price rate for the JDM NA1R RHD cf centerconsole is 880000 YEN.

I started inquiry yesterday, this morning I got that price info from japan. :)
Thats really amazing.
Comparing that, we are too cheap :)
Regarding the Mugen NSX-RR:
If I would decide to go widebody, than this style

Wow that LM 2009 prototype looks amazing on the track! Almost looks sci fi in that primer looking colour & with those lights? Wonder if it would ever make it onto the racing scene being a prototype.

James I agree, that is by far the best kit I have seen on NSX, Sorry AMO and AR.

I tried to find other pictures of this car but couldn't. I think the LM 2009 prototype only exists in a playstation game.
Anyway, the real 1995 GT1 Le Mans car is the best looking NSX ever.

The grey one is simply a photoshop of a Super GT car.
I personally think the GT2 car is significantly better than the GT1 in the looks department, as it has quite an evocative coke bottle shape. Also think the front is much nicer with it retaining the pop ups.

Thats very red indeed, imagine you are a red fan up my parts! (please no footy replies). Its a bit much if trimmed in alcantara. That steering wheel is very similar to the latest gen CTR?
