I prefer the volks. I wouldn't go too big though. 18/19 look wrong IMO (and can't be good for the car)

The Volks look great. how about the CE28's? (from Volk also) - they suit the NSX IMHO also..

Personally I think the Do-Lucks might look better as I think they will look larger than the TEs. I prefer the TEs to be quite large ~18/19 for it to look anything like 17"+. Then again I would not go for anything larger than 17/18" which is the perfect setup, performance vs aesthetics compromise I think.

Volk TE37 are the doggies doo-dahs

but I don't really get the obsession with going big

bigger wheels have the following downsides:

1. they usually cost more
2. they usually weigh more
3. due to 2 above, they upset the balance of the car
4. they require bigger & lower profile tyres which:
a) cost more
b) lose grip less progressively
c) reduce your performance tyre options
d) give less protection from wheel damage
e) are less comfortable to drive on

generally speaking, bigger diameter wheels are a performance downgrade, but do have significant rice/chav appeal

Word of warning if your considering the do-luck's!

On something like a skyline they look great and they also look great on the NSX in their brochure but that car has a wide arch kit. If you see a pair of wheels made with offsets similar to that on an NSX the bottom of the spokes sticks out further than the rim of the wheel. This not only loses the dished look of the wheel but is going to be an evil magnet to a kerb!
