Decided to clean up my engine bay and under the bonnet today. The engine bay was pretty clean anyway but as I was cleaning the induction filter and painting the engine cover to silver I decided to clean also.

I took out the battery tray and re-painted the battery mount back to silver as it was slighty grubby.
Also when I removed the battery tray I notice that it actually held a bit of water in there and also quite a bit of grime/muck
I noticed the battery tray had one small hole to the side of the tray to let water out but the hole sits quite high up, so I decided to add some extra holes to the base so there would be no more build up of water.

Nice work, looks clean.
Only criticism would be to paint the lettering on the engine cover plate...something to read as you are gazing through the mesh engine cover...I would have thought you'd have painted yours the same as the Type-R? :)

Thanks guys for the comments, got a few more bits of cleaning to do but its all looking pretty good so far.
On that centre plate, the only lettering thats not silver on the NA1 NSX-R is the Honda badge. Think your getting mixed up on the NA2 NSX-R which has differnt covers and lettering.

Is there such a thing as NSX OCD?! :D On a serious note it, your hard work has certainly paid off Sudesh. Did you use any cleaning spray on the engine bay & front compartment? Whats the best way to clean apart from elbow grease? You don't have a spare wheel?

I used brake cleaner spray, its a de-greaser so worked very well. I also used some WD40 after that to leave a nice shine, only need a small amount of WD40 an a time and rub in in well. Apart from that time, patience and elbow grease is probably the main thing, especially around any niggly bits. I also removed one or two items from the engine bay and re-done them in silver as they were slightly faded looking. I used temperature spray on all items.
Don’t have a spare wheel, its weighs to much lol. I just have the tyre foam in case of emergency. My spare wheel tyre, didn’t look great anyway, over time the spare tyre perishes and the side walls seem to give way. the next problem is getting a replacement tyre, which nobody seems to be able to get other than going to Honda. Honda's price is over £1000 as they don’t sell the tyre separate from the wheel.

Yeah typical Honda UK . . . all the parts for crazy money. DO they not realise that no one buys parts from them? UPS must do a fantastic trade with all the parts being shipped from the USA!
Car looks great Sudesh . . . really impressive . . . only wish I had the time and the patience to do the same!
