Guys,
So I've got some parts at the paint shop and I thought - I know - I'll get those black plastic headlight washer nozzles painted to match (like the windscreen washer nozzle / buds do).
Had a jiggle with them (technical I know) and they seem pretty well 'in there'. Anyone taken these out? If so - any tips?
Looking at the parts catalogue (see attached - part 33 is the nozzle) it looks asthough there are a number of 'clips' under it ... possibly the front indicator housings have to come out (that's always a barrel of laughs) so you can get at them from underneath?
Anyone?
Cheers

Hi Paul,
rather than remove the indicator unit (usually a seized screw) would it not be easier to remove the headlight cover than the headlight itself? It's only four screws for the cover and four bolts for th headlight.
I had to do this when I was replacing the sidelight bulbs on mine....
At least you'd then get a good feel around and maybe even see what your mits are feeling!!

These are one of the worst parts of teh UK NSX. If you can mate then hack them off - I've got a crow-bar you can borrow if you want?
SilverSurfer has painted his red but you can't do the rubber seals so it's not a complete fix.
I've enquired about removing them and filling but you need a specialist plastic welder to do that. Even then it will look ship if something nudges your bumper in the future. I should have bought that JDM front bumper that was on egay a while back:angry:
Good luck and let us know results. At least it's less intrusive with the Magnum gay;) I'm sure Paul has some Carbon Fibre ones on his:laugh:

Guys they are not that bad! :)
Well regarding the nozzles, they are secured IIRC by some U shaped metal piece. I also thing that the foam behing the bumper is in the way, so taking the bumper off might be the best bet. You will also have to plug the hose at the end of the pump.

For the last two years i've been trying to come up with a complete washer system for my US Acura that aren't offered here in the states.
The best method for their removal is to carefully, as not to scratch any of the components, remove the entire systen, put it in a box and then post it to me here in the states.
If you want i'll then send my perfect, US washer fluid container, as they're different for the headlight washer system version, back and then you'll not have to worry about painting any bits and i'll have my headlight washer system and we'll both be very happy.

No such luck I'm afraid Nigel ;-)
I took an indicator out at the weekend - you cannot access the washers from underneath.
I started to remove a headlight - and after nearly destroying the heads on the 1st 2 (of 8) headlight housing bolts (they were semi-seized in there tight - and clearly never been touched in 12 years) I decided to give up.
They are staying where they are.
They will either have to be painted whilst on the car (!) ... or left as it - at least the colour they "most" match is Magnum Grey ...
