Just a quick recommendation for the boys at Lakeside Engineering in Surrey. They've been looking after my Elise for nearly ten years and doing a great job for very reasonable prices, so I thought I'd give them a shot with the NSX. It was overdue a service and had recently been suffering from chronic brake judder, even at road speeds. Firstly I was very impressed that even on the phone when I first mentioned the car, Max knew that the cambelt needed changing at 60,000 miles. They are Lotus and Porsche specialists but he still knew more about my car than I did. When he rang me shortly afterwards to say the steering rack needed work, I didn't expect it to be related to the brake judder, but I gave the go-ahead anyway to send it away to get fixed (which Max recommended to save me money rather than replacing it). When I came back from holiday it was ready to pick up and the brake judder has gone :)
Seems like I've been wasting my time trying to find a local NSX specialist, I should've taken it to Lakeside all along. I'll give them a bash with the Mitsubishi Evo next, as that's been in with someone else for two months getting a clutch replacement (sigh).
So if anyone around the west M25 area is looking for a place to service their NSX and prefers a sound mechanical outfit rather than a shiny-showroom-and-coffee affair, give Lakeside a try. Tell them James Thomas sent you :) (I have no affiliation with them, I'm just a long-term happy customer and would like to put some business their way)
