Weight-saving question - seats

Hi all

Alright I know some of you brainboxes out there will know the answer to this....how much weight will I save by replacing both OEM seats with Recaro Pole Positions?

Yes.

I have weighed a Recaro PP + Bride rail & brackets and it was just under 30lbs.

I've not weighed the OEM seat but from what I can find on Prime they weigh 40-43lbs.

This I will confirm for you if you like on Wednesday....

Update for you Martin. OEM seat weight is 40.5lb.

Is not a straight forward swap unless you use the narrow seats like the PROFI etc.

OEM rail and bracket = 40.5lbs
My Recaro PP's with modified Bride runners and seatbelt clip = 29lbs

So exact weight saving 23lbs....more importantly though more headroom. Still don't think I'd get a lid on for a track day unless the seat cushion is removed.
