Looks OK but wrong wheels, wrong suspension (too low) and someones fitted an odd stereo (dash mounted tweeters) so why start with an S Zero?

Most NSX-R's get loaded with options as well but it seems strange to change the suspension of an S Zero which is supposed to be the best bit. There's nowt as strange as folk :)

Nasty car mats, wheels are too silver, centre stowage / armrest looks wrong (shouldn't it be a two-piece?), but the big question is.....

How much ?

and does anyone have a link to the vendor's website?

Thanks Sudesh - despite the gorgeous looking engine bay it's a bit rich for me.

centre stowage / armrest looks wrong (shouldn't it be a two-piece?),

I know there is a reason for this but I can't remember. Sudesh (or any one else) can you remind us?

Thanks

I thought the wheels look good. Shame about the Gruppe M air filter. That's an over-priced vibrating pain in the tail!!

Cheers,

James.

So based on the HUK seat price you get the Type S for just an extra £20k ... bargain. IMO, I think this is a great looking NSX, wheels included (but would ditch the Gruppe M ). But as discussed alsewhere, Jpan prices are even higher than UK at present for good clean NSX, and thats b4 you've shipped and paid HMG its slice!

Think I might advertise mine in Japan and see what the response is like ....

I like myself!

Love the color unique on a coupe, like the wheels and ride height and the induction system

I would change the calliper color to black, wheel centre caps to wheel color, change the stereo and floor mats and would do me.

Is that a GruppM induction? Dealer sheet says it's K&N?

Is this car still for sale? It pops up on Tradecarview ! I have revised my opinion on the wheels - they look "right" to me now.
Perhaps they would be open to a cheeky offer to include replacing the stereo, adding an i-pod dock & original floor mats !! :D
Also, the '97 Silver & Orange type S is on the same site and has been for well over a year.....

Tempting.....

I love the colour. Dont mind the wheels at all, seen far worse.

So the S, S ZERO.... whats the differences again from a normal NSX..or R even??

I love the seats, wouldn't mind a set of them, but not taking out a mortgage for them!!

Love the colour, but the suspension looks broken to me.

Why's it got German-car fat wheels? probably because it won't go round corners with its broken suspension, or the previous owner cannot drive.

Beautiful car, but a bitit rich, by the time you've got it here, been raped by the Gov't and then repaired all the broken bits. I remember when dumper trucks had yellow air filters like that!

FYI Types and 02 plus wheels are made by BBS.

So the S, S ZERO.... whats the differences again from a normal NSX..or R even??

The S Zero is essentially a 3.2Ltr 6spd "Pop-up" (headlamps) NSX-R. It has the NA1 NSX-R seats (with different covers), suspension (or a very similar spec) as well as the lower diff ratio.

It also benefits, in theory at least, from lower weight by making A/C, radio etc optional but just like most NSX-Rs most Type S and Type S Zeros have these options fitted.

FYI Types and 02 plus wheels are made by BBS.

It should have unique to the Type S/S Zero 16"/17" BBS wheels but these have been substituted for 17"/18 BBS RS-GT or BBS RG-R. The look quite nice if a little too silver for my taste.

Sadly the original suspension seems to have been replaced in the name of lowering. It might be really good stuff but IMHO the original remote reservoir Showa kit should still be there.

I know; so had my S2000.

But not so fat as to give too much grip & not enough handling, which for me is the beauty of both S2000 and NSX; sometimes, less IS more.

Thanks Mark.

I guess the best bits were put into the S then.... but all the little details like thinner glass to engine bay, aluminium bars and whatever else were left alone.

your a lucky guy :)

How many S's in the UK?

Wheels are great, and sought after! Going to be heavier though, so personally i'd insist on having the standard wheels too.

Regarding prices, isn't Japan close to a recession, if not already in one? I'd expect prices to be good...i guess not! Also, will 2012 mean it's far easier to get a newer NSX-R into the country?
