Does anyone know what the difference is in paint spraying proceedures between aluminium and conventional steel cars as i need to have a wing sprayed for stone chips.

If you need some body to do this work I would recommend Altered Image Coachworks in Strood Kent, 01634 721011 ask for Peter.

Or try 355 at Dunsfold (next to Top Gear) ...

spraying onto aluminium requires the use of etch primer usually. The paint is still the same as normal.

I see you are in Kent. Charcott Garage near Bough Beech comes highly recommended. They do a lot of high value classic cars.
I will be using them when I get round to getting my bonnet fitted.

Well unless you take the wing back to the metal your not spraying onto ali right? Just old paint.
You wouldn't want to go to the metal anyway, as I don't think anyone is going to coat the metal in the same primers that Honda used.

I though steel, or any bare metal, required required etch primer?
