Full race report coming later this week! The car completed the Production race 2nd in class despite gearbox issues. It did the whole of the GT night race in 3rd gear (maybe those auto NSXs aren't so bad...), but still came 15th out of 32 starters!

Car looks great - they are tremendous photographs.
So, an encouraging start to the cars racing career - sort the gearbox out and fame & fortune (!) becons!

Thanks guys...
Can't wait to get the sequential in, it will transform the car.

Rob, congratulations and its a shame about the gearbox. Great pictures they are and I'm sure there will be more to come after your sequential box is fitted and may be a class win!

So was the problem with the linkage rather than the gearbox itself?
Car looks great by the way :)

Yeah, it was the selector side of things. The actual gearbox was fine.
Just got though all the piccies today so will get a write up done soon :)

Those sequential "reels" can really take it out of the syncros as you're encouraged to change gear faster. Are you going to fit new steel syncros in the 'box as well?

It will be a sequential from Hewland so all new Mark. We'll rebuild the OEM one and offload.
The change from 3rd to 4th is far to long on this particular 5spd, and removing the need for heel and toeing (the sequential will blip automatically) is good for stopping crashes and the gearbox's health in longer races!
