Unfortunately my stereo is kaputt - a loud high pitched squeal comes out every time you turn it on. Kaz has had a look and it's beyond economical repair.

If anyone has an original head unit, I'm interested. Similarly, if anyone has recommendations for an economical update I'd appreciate it if you get in touch. I'll have a look through the archives and on prime, but am not really looking for a big install.

Is it the head unit thats done or the amps? or both?

If Kaz looked at it, and beyond repair, then it must be bad.

We're pretty sure it's the head unit. I've not had any of what you'd expect from the amps going, and the screaching noise is from all speakers.
