Well I have a nice UK dealer supplied Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo. I love these cars and have had 8 of them over the years, had one along side my first NSX back in 94/95. This car is a seciond edition or seriesII car, which has some upgrades from the early series I cars.
Its only had 2 owners from new and was stored for the past 5 years. It is in totally standard original condition except for the stereo/cd player which I am going to install. I decided to go the extara mile and do some refresh work to it. So I have started stripping the car down to redo the interior and work on some electrics, install the original stereo and remove old alarm systems that have been dangling under the dash etc, clean up window runners and work on some of the faults I have noticed.
The seats I am going to re-connolise
So here it is and the start of the work.

After removing the interior I gave the car a once over with the hoover, then I removed the old black strip accross the boot as they tend to bubble as the spoiler is heavy rubber.
I also purchased the OEM 3rd brake light as this was an option for these cars.

Thats one great car. I remember donkeys years ago when i was working by Jim Lee Racing in Yorkshire Jonathon Lewis (who had a long career in single seater management and ran Hamster in the Benetton F1 car for Top Gear) had a white one. It chewed up tyres for fun! He left it with us for some new tyres fitting and, as i remember, running it back around to their race shop it was absolutely terrific fun and SUPER quick. Sounds fantastic too.

Hi Sudesh
Now I know that you do othetr cars, do you want to refresh my Peugeot 205:D
I'm off to the US at the end of the year, would you like anything again?
Paul.

IIRC, a delicate right foot is a real bonus with these on anything other than a dry sunny day! The dealer principal would always run one of these and would 'loan' it out to the top performer of the month for a weekend ... there weren't too many times when I wasn't out cruisin' ;)
Bought the two version many many moons ago. Man what a car, I still miss mine. Last I drove on was 10 years ago!

Yeah would agree with that! These are big heavy bruts but pack a serious punch [TT VERSION] and I have had quite a few and managed to keep them in straight condition.
One of the main things I tell anyone that has a ZX TT is, when your overtaking, get out, get the beast straight, then gun it lol, Otherwise the hedge comes up pretty quick lol
Have to say though, is resembles some character form the nsx with the capsule like cockpit and flowing centre console etc. ZX feels allot more roomy though. But NSX feel more nimble and fit and finish is miles ahead.

Just a regular T Top version Sudesh, but still what a nice car to drive fast. Not much room in the engine bay at all!

Yeah extremly difficult to work on these cars with such limited space, even the air filter is tucked away in the nose and front opanel has to be removed to change it.
Stillen used to do a lot of bits for them, I tem, ember there was a special panel that replace the OEM for a "RAM Air" effect.

Yeah they still do bits. I'm just doing some work to the ZX today and this car has the still induction kit, filter is very dirty so its coming off for a clean, not sure if I should keep it or kind/swap for the oem one.

Started the cleaning process today by first wiping down the interior body, then a hoover and then a rub down with some wax oil to preserve the body and helps with rust proofing etc. The boot and rear seat well wasnt too bad, but found the usual things like, coins, sweet rappers, small stones and bits off food and usual dirt and grime.
Cleaned up well though

I'm leaving the drivers and passengers side till later as I'm going to redo the carpets there.
So moved on to the air filter as I'm going to do a service on the car. I thought the car had the standard airbox and filter but after removing the nose panel I found a Stillen induction kit.

To remove the filter, the MAF unit has to be removed from the main air induction pipe as its quite a tight fit in there.
http://i77.photobucket.com/albums/j77/icongroup/UK300ZX/100_3813.jpg
Filter removed and its as extremly dirty

So filter is off for a good soaking.

Another great re-fresh Sudesh. I'm no expert on the Z, but does it need black paint on the Z symbols on the centre of alloy wheels? When are you refreshing the Calibre!? :D

Thanks! Really pleased with how it turned out. The Z symbols are silver as per OEM spec. The Calibra will be a long process, going to completely strip it down to the bare chassis and start from scratch, replacing rusted wings/bonnet/tailgate and so forth with new items. It will be a rewarding process as we have owned the car from new and I would say there arnt many 1 owner calibras out there now.

Thanks Kaz! Special reatment would be good wash, then clay bar, followed by some light cutting compound, polish then wax. Paint came up real nice. These big super coupes are real nice things to drive, I quite like that small lag then he big gush of power and torque. I have a 2001 Twin Turbo Supra arriving this month, one of the very last, its the VVTI Face lift car with Steering wheel gear change, the Supra is a seriously quick car, owned 3 Twin Turbos in the past.

I'm not taking a penny less that £3600 for it, have quite a few people interested in it from the UK and Ireland, one guys is certain he will take it and lives about 3hrs from me but with the terrible weather its making it difficult for him to get to me, plus I wont be letting the car out of the garage in any bad weather either.
