Never liked the original number plate holder so grabbed a bit of alluminium and spent ages just to get it to look like this:

It's actually bent to a more acute angle than 90 but hard to see.

I tried it on the car and it just needed a bit more trimmed off the middle bit to fit perfectly. The total weight is about half of the original  and looks a damn sight better when all on the car.

I'll upload some on car pics tomorrow if theres enough light after work.

I leave mine off till mot time but have a front plate with custom brackets....all you actually need are two 'L' shaped brackets drilled each end to use two of the factory bolts and self tap the plate to - a lot easier to make....

Well I've thought about not having the number plate on but decided it's nice to be able to drive one of my cars without having to worry about certain 'incorrect' things :)

Anyway it was a bit of fun making something out of metal as it's not something I normally do. Would have been a lot easier with some proper tools lol.

Bit crappy last pic but it was cold and getting pretty dark (after 5pm).

Anyway I'm happy with it.

ITs good to this NSX being so well cared for and nicely polished .... I think the previous owner used to run out of time to clean it ;)

How do you get into the car?!? Are you a bean pole? Looks a bit tight on the drive.....

I don't get in the car. Well not very often. It's just down side of the house while I'm not using it. I get in the passenger door and the door opens perfectly between the house and shed :)

So why not drive in forwards to make life easier for yourself - it must be one hell of a scramble to get across to the driver's seat!! (Now, don't tell me your car is LHD!!)

Why does it still have an out of date Swiss motorway vignette attached?

That's why I have a car with 08, 09 and 10 on it!

Mark, bit me to it by 12 minutes!

Well maybe I want it to look like I go to Switzerland!

I think it's funny there are two cars owned by site members, with vignettes on them, as they were both mine!

Updated pic of the front in daylight and Swiss vignette removed!

http://www.ripper.eclipse.co.uk/nsx/14-02-10/Front.jpg

Swapped the rear number plate with a slightly smaller and 'cleaner' plate.
Before:

After:

It looked not quite straight before and now it maybe looks not quite straight but the other way :D Ah well it's an improvement and I'll have to sort the euro smile at some point.

I would have put the number plate slightly higher but there is so much sticky crap behind that seems impossible to remove.

Next job is the front side lights / indicators.

I think some turps will get the sticky stuff off. It was only double sided foam sticky pads.

One of the biggest unfinished jobs was making a whole new rear bumper. I was going to do away with the number plate holder altogether.

How are you going to drive in Europe now without the GB section on the plates?

I'll just slap a GB sticker on the back.

I'd rather have a jdm rear bumper. There doesn't seem to be any decent choices to finish off the back with that exhaust.
