Hi - does anyone know where you can get a water pump cover from as Honda only sell it with the water pump.

Many thanks

Hi, madras.
As I don't know your service history or spec of your NSX, I could be wrong so please keep this in mind.

Could you check with your local Honda dealer and ask whether the lower cover - 11810-PR7-A02 (GBP136.15+VAT) is suitable for your current water pump design or not?

If it fits, you can get the same parts from US at around US$145+Import VAT+Delivery.
Or, in order to support our UK vender, it's worth contacting vtecdirect and ask for the compatibility with your water pump design as well.

The design of water pump was changed in 90's so it is important to know the spec of your water pump. On low mileage UK models, I found that the water pump was not replaced during the timing belt service so if your NSX is early model with no water pump service, the drain hole on the new lower cover design is not suitable for the original water pump design.

As some of you know, if you replace the water pump during timing belt service, the parts number is the same for all year model 19200-PR7-305 and the water pump comes with the lower cover as a set. In Japan, this parts number is already superseded to A03 but not sure for the UK market.

Hope this will help....

11810-PR7-A02 is listed with Honda as 97 to 2005

Earlier models were: 11810-PR7-A00 £145.70+VAT

Then it went too: 11810-PR7-A01 £145.50+VAT

But then it changed to the complete set: 19200-PR7-305 £353.11+vat

Parts list will only show the original equipment/parts used on each year models.
It will not cover the updated parts compatibility and this is why it is important to check the spec/design of the water pump.

The later models will have the brass seeping pipe sticking out of the lower cover like this.

It is behind the ACG belt around the left shoulder of Crank Pulley. If you can't find it, your water pump is still the old style which is very unlikely if you followed the UK service schedule for Timing belt and your mechanic was cautious.

If the water pump was replaced in the past, the chances are that you are very likely to have the latest water pump with the latest timing belt cover desin. This is true even for the pre 97 models as the latest water pump is compatible for all NSX models and as Sudesh mentioned, the water pump comes with the lower cover as a set.

So, if you have the latest water pump, you can/should use 11810-PR7-A02 for the replacement timing belt lower cover even for pre 97 models.
