The drivers window goes down automatically (one touch button) but the return is not automatic.

Have tried most of the fixes, ie holding it up after the window has closed.
Battery disconnect etc but still it won't automatically go back up.

Is this an NSX feature or should I get the switch looked at under warranty ?

I'd have it looked at, Simon. The Auto-switch should work for up as well as down.

Cheers
Joe

Sorry guys, Joe is right. It should go up with only one touch as well.I know because i had to open the door slightly for it raise all the way(worn motor i think).
I would press it once and then open the door.

Perhaps this depends on the year of your car?

Mine is a 2004, the window only goes auto down not up.

Chris.

Well the car has been in Chiswick Honda today and the verdict is that on my car it is only auto down ?? What year is your's Simon?

Mine is a 1996 JDM import and is auto up and down.
Chris R is 2004 and auto down only.

Maybe it was a feature brought in with the facelift in 2002, or varies depending on spec, i.e. UK, ***, US, etc.

mine is a 1992 UK model and is auto up and down

additionally, if locking/arming with the remote key fob whilst the (both) windows are open, they will both auto-up.

I think there was a fairly significant legal/insurance issue in the mid 90's re electric window's for all manufacturers (as is the case with the new bug eyed lights - the manufacturers have banned pop up's by agreement) . A number of kids got caught in window without a pressure release mechanism, and I suspect "auto up" would have been a similar safety issue. You can imagine a kid kneeling on the arm rest looking out while Dad is washing his pride & joy... not having auto up has it's advantages...

If thats the reason honda dropped the auto up function, then thats a very poor showing from honda.
There are countless new cars with the auto up function that will stop the window from rising if it comes up against resistance, thereby eliminating the choaking issue.
I don't own a new honda but i would be supprised if that was the case accross the whole model range(auto down only i mean) it seems like another example of honda just not bothering to update the NSX properly(tape deck, anybody  )

My CRV doesn't have auto up.

US NSXs don't have auto up either.
