So the obvious question is when do you retrim with the Alcantara? :)
The investment of time and attention to detail is superb on this NSX. I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd like to meet you and the NSX.
One of my favourite NSX without hesitation.
Time for some seats soon ......
regards, Paul

Thany you very much Paul, it has been a work in progress and many different turns and thoughts on which way to go, but glad I stuck with going the NSX-R route and staying as close to OEM as possible, with help from the club and memebers too on the decisions.
I have already looked into doing the dash and doors etc in OEM alcantara or close to it, it will be a longer progress because if I go the retrim route, color and stitching etc will need to be to OEM spec otherwise I wont be happy.
I actually found a standard 1991 auto NSX in Japan, that for some reason has the OEM NSX interior, and have been pushing the seller to sell it to me cheap, if I get that I will be importing it as a breaker so wont have to pay as big import tax, but the car will have to be dismantled.
Seat are definately a must, the replica ones are shaping up nicely but as mentioned on the other thread, would love to know the exact figure of them landed here with all the expenses paid.

From what I understand it was on the options list in Japan for a short period when the NA1-R was released so there are a few around.

I recall reading that somewhere Paul, forgot about that option. Car also has Type-S wheel and some other bits.
I have my console installed now, just going to fit the NSX-R arm rest next and take some pics.
Very please with how it looks and matches in wit the NSX-R steering colum covers.

Is it a lot different to the usual 91 armrest?

Main difference is the NSX-R armrest doent have a badge. Single lid armrest and no badge stayed true to the NSX-R only right through to production end.
Dual lid armrest also had the badge from around 1994 to 1995, but was done away with after that.
I also dont think real nappa leather is used on the armrests.

Theres slightly more storage area where the head light leveller, head lamp wash & front fog lamp switches were. May be just big enough for a I-Phone?

Headlight level is not on JDM cars or is headlight wash!
Its usually Half aerial height and front fogs only on standard JDM NSX's
However the NSX-R doesnt come with front fogs and radio was an option also, half aerial height button would be option.
So some NSX-R's came with the storage pod like mine and some came with 2 button's and 2 blanks.
I dont have any of those options so prefered to go the really raw route of the NSX-R and have the storage pod.
