Hello,

My name is Dimer. I'm 25 years old and I'm from Amsterdam.

Maybe some of you know this car. My dad, Gerard van Santen used to race it in the European NSX Trophee.

I used to go along with him to every race. To Germany, France, Belgium, Italy and so on.

Like my dad, I am very passionate about Honda and in particular the NSX. My dad thought it was time for me to enjoy the NSX. This car is very special to me and my family. I am very honored that I can drive this incredible Honda!!

Before the NSX I drove a Honda Civic Type-R (EP3), Honda Civic VTi (EG6) and a Honda Jazz (Fit). My daily drive now is a Nissan Qashqai.

Just like my dad, I'm always looking to further perfect the car and adjust it to my preferences and wishes. Not everyone may agree with the mods or like the aggressive look of the widebody. But then again, not everyone will drive it.

This is the car at the moment:

Hello Dimer, I may well have met you then either at Spa at the time of the accident or at Gaydon the following year.

Not always keen on the wide-body kits but that one actually works rather well! Nice choice...

Anyway, welcome from me, keep the info and pics coming!

Thanks for the warm welcome! :)

I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow. I will also make some interior pics.

@ Rash: The full kit is approximately EUR 5.000,- ex shipping, VAT, paint, fitment etc.

Should anyone be interested in a kit like this, shoot me a pm and maybe I can help. I've got good contacts with Taitec and Downforce ;)

Welcome Dimer. Same here about body modifications or kits, but it works very well and the car looks great and shiny. I also like the black wheels and red paint work combo. Its great to hear that the car has a long history and also with father/son relationship. :)

Ha ha Amo,

The difference between Gerard's/Dimer's car and yours is that theirs gets raced on real tracks, rather than cruised around London.

Hey Amo,

I've seen your car, I looks great!!

Is it the Downforce kit with Taitec bumper?

I really want the Taitec canards, but they are discontinued...

Today I mounted the Taitec diffuser and Super Taitec exhaust. It looks and sounds great. The exhaust needs some adjustments. It is sitting a bit to low now.

I'm not fan of these fat cars but this one looks better than most, however the gap between the diffuser and upper bumper let the rear end down. The gap will also prevent the diffuser from working as it should.

There must be a way to adapt (cut up) a standard lower bumper to fill that void and finish off the look.

Cheers

Mark

Friday night I went to a friend, but when I wanted to start the car to drive home, nothing happened. I heard the starter, but it sounded like it was loose. We pushed the car and it fired up immediately. When I came home, I checked the engine and the starter was completely loose. We took it off and one bolt was gone and the other side was cracked...

The starter:

Anyway.. this is how the car looks now:
