going to get the SOS OEM to after market adapter and looking for an i pod adapter..

anyone any advice /experience on audio upgrades?

Yep. The US-spec ones come highly recommended, I've just ordered one to use with my oem stereo.

The SOS audio adaptor is just a plug socket that fits the cars wiring loom....it's available on eBay over here for about £2.00!! I bought one but it depend if you know what your doing with wiring...

This is basically what your after, same as the SOS adapter but you need to modify it to suit you new setup

sudesh when you say modify? :-)..

From what I gather, your going with the standard head unit, to aftermarket amp, to aftermarket speakers. You will need to change the speaker line outs to suit your amp, usually the line is converted to phono ends like in the SOS pics.
