After having a my wheel liners off today two of the push pins decided they'd had enough.
Just wondering whether anyone has sourced a better priced alternative to the Honda ones?

This is the best I found on ebay:

Or these on Amazon:

Anyone found better?

I bought them from HUK as I could not wait, but if they compatible, is not a bad price.

They are pretty much a shared fitement with other cars. I bought a wee selection case of these types of clips and had the same size and look as the Honda ones. The ones I would use on the guard are more like those in your second link

I agree - a stock is useful.

There are lots of different types (3 x Honda OEM, for a finish) and a lot of the generic ones don't fit, as I found out.

The clips should last well, unless abused. Physically, not verbally, that is. So for a few quid spent, it's not worth the pain of buggering around.

Just for reference some call them different names, but if you search under "Drive Rivits" you'll get better input

Good link here to some stuff if you need to stock up

Hi, NSXGB.

As they are plastic, once installed, they will harden with the heat and if you try to remove them, some of them will easily break.

Your wheel liner is the same. It will harden and deform with the heat.

Try removing the weatherstrip running across the air scoop under the bonnet. It has about 8 push pins and most of the time, as soon as you push the pin to remove it, it will crack one of the leg…. This is caused by the heat from the radiator.

If you don’t need them in a hurry, I may have some used ones in the garage. You can have them as you are helping me out on a certain thing in the near future.

I may even have some new ones in stock.

Regards,
Kaz

Strewth, thanks guys.

I have an account with the link I mentioned and to give you an idea on difference

If I order the pack of 25 clips here http://www.clipsandfasteners.com/Sea...=10&Search.y=9

It will cost me about £15.00 delivered

If I buy 25 of them from Honda it's £71.00!!

You would think small plastic push clips like these would be cheap from HUK, but like everything else they're a rip off! Just got some front lower bumper clips for other Honda, HUK wanted over £1.95 each, so instead got 20 for £7.99 off fleabay!

Hondacura-specific ones for that price makes a compelling buy, if you've got lots of Hondas.

Good find Sudesh!

Top tip; spray Holts Silicone & Rubber Lubricant on the little buggers a couple of days before you remove them and you'll save a lot more. It's brilliant for restoring plasticity to anything really; door/roof seals, suspension rubbers, hoses, etc etc.

De-ages your car overnight!

That's a really good site Sudesh.
I think I'd go for a pick & mix to make sure I don't end up with lots of clips I'd never use.
For what it's worth, my selection below cross referenced with HUK part numbers:

A16782 Honda & Nissan Push-Type Retainer 14mm Lgth $15.27
A16776 Honda & Nissan Trim Panel Retainer 20mm Length $13.63

25 of each type for $67.33 delivered to the UK.

A20350 is for internal door handles
A20959 is for door card
PAS9208-25 is for rubber weather seal on door
A16782 is for wheel arch liners & more
A16776 is for boot liner & more

Yeah great site, I bought quite a bit from them over the years and when you do a price comparison with Honda UK its good savings. I even sell some of the stuff on ebay lol

Its funny but these clips are shared with other manufactures and they are cheaper with them, than Honda's prices lol
