Yes!
You can get the rear brake light that's in the spoiler, it was standard on US and JDM cars, and made standard on UK cars from 2002 on. Its expensive new from Honda though, £574.00

I believe it's the early UK and maybe Euro spec nsxs have a mock up rear centre brake light. I've seen real centre brake lights on approx 1995 onwards NSXs.
Here's a recent thread about how I got it replaced and wired up with a proper one:

As far as I was aware, it wasnt standard on UK cars till 2002 onwards? Definitely wasnt standard from 1995 on as I have had laters cars in and owned a later car and didnt have the brake light.

Well the one car I can at least name at the moment is Chris B N's 97 3.0 Auto T Charlotte Green.
We were talking about rear centre brake lights as I had just fitted it before Japfest (but hadn't wired it at the time) and I swear we checked Chris' and it had a proper centre brake light and I thought I remembered seeing it illuminate while following him from the hotel to Japfest.
I'm sure Chris can confirm this or not :)

Quite possible it was standard from 97 on then, must check the parts system.

Hi, Malc.
For UK spec, there are two different parts no available for the rear wing high mount stop light.
Possible bright/dark colour difference or something else??
Haven't checked by myself so would be nice to compare the difference with the owners here.
Up to and including 96 UK models were using the mock up one (no LED).
97 - 01 UK Spec NSX: 34270-SL0-J03
02 - 05 UK Spec NSX: 34270-SL0-003
If you are sourcing it from US, please note that the one on Acura is different from UK spec (colour) but I guess this was already discussed on NSXCB in the past.

Kaz

Kaz I believe it is the color of the lense, I remember when working on connors car that I noticed the lense on the rear wing brake light, was brighter than mine, guess its to blend in with the brightness of the 02+ tail light lense also.

Interestingly I got my centre brake light from a US 1992 spoiler. I guess it is brighter but it looks completely correct in situ.
I'll put a photo up later.

Since the US spec one is brighter/lighter red than the darker/smoke like Euro/JDM, then I assume they are reflected in the rear driving/break lenses too?

Yeah the US cars have a brighter rear light cluster compared to JDM/Euro cars.

The US cars rear cluster is the same as the 2002 plus facelifted cars.

It's very important to keep Acura and Honda parts separate when working with the rear lights as i've seen lots of mix up's
JDM brake lights are indeed quite expensive they should be in stock again with Honda Japan as we are about to receive a few in our regular shipment from Japan. (it was in back order for 2 months)
